This would be perfect for the two of them, getting cozy together and enjoying the little privacy they get when they are at home. I see Little One pulling this together, much to Steve's surprise. Got me all in my feels.

"I got a surprise for you." You sang out from the cabins hallway, bursting into the livingroom with a excited energy as Steve was working on untying his work boots. It burst in the bond, a zip of energy zinging into Steve's mind, making the Alpha yip back to his mate in excitement.
"For me?" Steve questioned as he toed off his boots and worked the heavy duty suspenders off his tense shoulders, working the rest of the gear off. He seemed surprised, almost like he wasn't used to the idea of getting surprises.
Not that you were either but Steve surprised you all the time. Showed you what it was like to have someone care for you, want to see you happy and loved. So when this idea came, you couldn't resist wanting to give him the same thing. "Yup, for you Alpha." Your grin grew wider seeing his surprise.
The flush that rose on his cheeks and the way his eyes darted over your shoulder from where you had just come from. "Is it in the bedroom? Did you make us a new nest?" He inquired as you undid the heavy belt of tools that hung around his waist and eased it off.
"Mmmh, nope, but that is something I will probably do soon." You stepped back away from him, enticing him to follow. Steve's brows arched as he started to follow you.
"Okay not a new nest..." His eyes narrowed as he caught you from darting to far away, wheeling you back into his arms, tickling you lightly and nuzzling into the warmth of the crook of your neck, inhaling your scent till he felt smothered in it, enjoying his mate after a long day.
"We do have to go through the bedroom to get to it though." You wriggled in giggles, hoping up to wrap your legs around his waist, his tickles shifting to hold you up while your fingers dragged through his hair, pressing kisses across his face. He shouldered the door to the bedroom open
"And then?" Steve inquired, refusing to look anywhere but you. You hopped down out of his arms, keeping his gaze on you.
"Close your eyes Steve, I want it to be a surprise." You waited to wave your hands in front of his eyes, sure that he couldn't see anything when he didn't flinch. Your hands reached for his, fingers weaving together. "I hope you really like this... but if you don't-"
"Little One." He growled out, taking confident steps, trusting where you were leading him. "You know I will already."
"Okay, okay... there is a step down Alpha." You brought him outside onto the deck and glanced around, smiling to yourself at what it looked like. Biting your lip, you glanced nervously at Steve once more before arching to your toes to place a kiss on his lips before whispering. "Okay, open them up."
Blue eyes sprang open, but didn't roam beyond your eyes, his hands coming up to frame your face, his thumbs sweeping gently against the apples of your cheeks. "You're so beautiful like this."
It threw you off, you're brow coming together in confusion. "Like what Steve?"
"Happy, Little One." his forehead dropped to yours a moment, seeming to soak it in before he glanced around the back deck. Scattered with autumn leaves in the time you had left, as they were steadily falling around. Lights were softly glowing in the darkening evening, keeping the back deck lit in an autumn glow of orange hues. You had a couple throw blankets thrown over the back of the adirondack chairs that Steve kept on the porch and a small little propane set up for Steve to light with all the fixings of smores set up nearby. "Is this... a date?"
"Yeah... an at-home one." You bit your lip nervously, shrugging a bit. "I thought we could spend the evening out here, making smores and keeping each other warm. I know it's silly but..."
"But?"
"I read about it and thought it would be nice for us, plus this is a first for me, like so many things are." Steve felt your Little Wolf nuzzle into her Alpha, a soft love shared between them. Of course his Little One never had this gentleness in your life. He eased into a nearby chair, tugging you into his lap and pulling the soft blanket around the two of you, hugging you against him. You relaxed into him, the both of you enjoying the silence of the trees and nearby lake, the way the glow of the lights started taking over as darkness fell around the two of you.
"It's perfect Little One, thank you for pulling this together for us." He felt your satisfaction so strongly as you tucked your face in against his neck, your smile pressing into his skin. The two of you enclosed in your own little autumn haven.
