I’d like to nominate my best friend @emzzyroo :) Without Ems I don’t think I’d be where I am today.  She’s the one who comes with me on all my crazy fandom adventures without question - who dived into conventions and GISHWHES with me when I felt at my worst and most alone, and helped changed my life.  With her influence I’ve been able to live the life I lead today, where I’m surrounded by amazing people and doing so many amazing things that me from four years ago probably couldn’t even comprehend.  (Like when we jumped on a train to London after a minute of deliberation to go see Jason Manns and coincidentally Misha and also friends and just... adventure?  That was a really good day.) Ems is there for me through the good stuff and the bad stuff, and is someone I know without a doubt I can trust implicitly, but also laugh with whilst watching stupid Muse and SPN and animal videos on youtube.  I hope you get your pug one day, dude!

Um there’s nothing about not nominating more than one person, so I’d also like to nominate @autumnpsyche.  Although I’ve only known Nat for a little over a year, the impact she’s had on my life has been felt in waves.  She believes in everyone, and supports them in their endeavors, even when others don’t.  She supported me and I managed to achieve a writing goal I’ve been trying to reach since I was but a small teen!  Plus, I can talk to her about anything and everything.  She’ll stay up late at night to talk to me, and always has great advice on hand for when I’m feeling... not at my best, let’s say.  She has a capacity for kindness that I truly aspire to, and I’m incredibly grateful that we crossed paths at A15 :)

SO. MY PURCON SUMMARY :D  I vlogged extensively and I’ll edit it together soon but for now, the text version.

First let me say this: A16, take the backburner.  Sorry but... this? SWOON.

In the vein of my A14 write up, (here x) I’mma do a list of my top moments, but in no specific order this time lol

Being at a convention in a foreign country!  I speak very little German but it was SO COOL when people came up to us and started talking in German and I actually got the meaning and was able to reply? (albeit it with like.. ‘Ja’ lmao)  I’m so grateful for those who took the time to understand our (particularly my fast-paced..) English :’D

Hanging out with my friends again, in a foreign country!  Us all booking Purcon happened very quickly, and I’m so immensely glad we did.  I love my small corner of the SPN Family so very, very much

The guests were all so happy!  Watching Mark taking photo ops was a joy – he was smiling and hugging everyone and awwwwww. The panels were great, particularly Mark and Misha’s, and watching Tamoh getting all hyped up doing the auction was AMAZING, one of the funniest moments of the weekend.  In general the atmosphere was really chilled and nice (esp compared to A16) and allowed for a much nicer time overall.

Cocktails with Castiel!!!!! I was hyper before he even got into the room lmao.  Then he told us he was gonna date all of us.  Very much approved.  We were the second table he got round to – I was standing like a millimetre from him thanks to @autumnpsyche​ graciously letting me, and yes I used the opportunity to get in a few sneaky hand brushes ;D (who wouldn’t?!) We talked about the clusterfuck (#clusterfuck) that was A16 – here’s a conversation I had with him…

Me: Jared and Jensen looked pretty floored the entire weekend :\ Misha: Well, you know, they always look terrible, but especially when combined with jet lag. Me: But you look great! Misha: *laughing and making grand hand gestures* WELL I KNOW RIGHT? *takes a moment to compose himself*

I felt v proud :’D And then he went to shake my hand when it was time for him to leave, but instead he hi-fived me and I basically died and went to heaven and that was my weekend already made.

Me and Becky also talked to his manager Julie, who had dropped by our conga coffee lounge last year, and got some inside scoops on things like Rogue.  Was cool! Here’s a scribbling we did whilst Misha was at all the other tables xD

Okay so I have a dream to sing with Jensen.  But Jason is much more accessible and has a voice I absolutely ADORE, so!!! I bought an autograph, and luckily (for me) there was nobody there when I got to the autos so I asked if I could sing with him, and he agreed, and the handler agreed to video it!! So you’ll see that soon :D Loved doing that

So the conga. Y’all remember it?  Here’s a link to a refresher if not.  It was incredible, me and my friends (some of whom I met at that coffee lounge!!!) talk about it all the time even a year on.  Well @wurmstache​ made a t-shirt for it, and we thought we would give Misha one because, y’know, he’s the entire reason it was able to happen.  So me, @rambleonassbutt​ and Becky went to the autos together.  Me and Sarah got our stuff signed, and then Becky explained about the shirt and we all gushed to Misha about everything the conga coffee lounge did for our lives.  And then he did this.

We were all extremely emotionally compromised.  We thought he was just gonna sign it, but then he just kept writing and we all got progressively weepier.  I’m so, so grateful to you Misha.

There’s another thing we did involving the conga which y’all will find out about very soon ;D

So the elevators at the Hilon work thus: you get in, swipe your card and then press your floor.  We didn’t realise this.  Got into the elevator, pressed our floor number… and kept going up.  To floor 11.

And then the door opened and Tim Omundsson was standing there.

HAHAHAA.

I wish I could have seen the looks on our faces.

We wandered into Dusseldorf a tiny bit to go get breakfast, and oh my god guys, the pastries.  They were incredible.  I want a German bakery in my town.  Plus I bought a tonne of kinder Bueno and Milka.  Mmmmmmmmm.

Singing Fare Thee Well in the lobby whilst walking backwards and waving to my friends as we left the Hilton to go back to the airport xD I can’t remember who suggested it but it was fun haha

Going back to Julie the badass manager - she laid down the LAW when it came to organisation.  Things could have gone very badly but with her help, it all ended up smooth as you like.  Thank you Julie <3

Actually staying in the Hilton!  Super convenient, super plush, INCREDIBLY comfy beds.

The merch stalls were all REALLY GOOD.  My new hoodie I’m showing off in my photo ops is my new favourite thing :D

I asked Misha a question!  But the best thing about it was getting to have that ‘question asking’ view of the panel for once. :)

And finally... karaoke!  It’s always been my dream to get up and sing on stage for lots of people so to be able to do it with my SPN family was a dream come true!  I was really, really worried I wouldn’t get chosen (didn’t last week at Asylum; so it goes), so when I did and my friends cheered it was like… AAAAHHHH.  And they all came up with me to sing and dance and everyone cheered when I started singing and Osric filmed the entire thing on my camera and thanked me, and Tim Omundsson both privately shook my hand and congratulated me and then shouted out ‘SHE CAN FUCKING SING’ to the crowd???

I. Uhhh.  Was extremely emotionally compromised and may have spent the rest of the evening singing my throat dead and going for a run around the Hilton with Nat and Maggie.Good fuckin times, man.

So overall I had a convention that rivalled A14, definitely beat it in terms of organisation.  THANK YOU to everyone who made it possible <3

3. If you could have any pet, what would it be? 2.  A husky (or variant), and a really fluffy cat (that wouldnt shed fur HAAA).  Right now I’m pretty happy with the kitties I have though :D

5. Ideal partner? Personality and looks? shruggu.  i like sticky-up hair on boys apparently.  personality would, ideally, be good.

8. Favourite meal? Curry from this place about 10 minutes from me.  It’s so. fucking. good.  failing that, a good dominos pizza. mmm.  Dessert would be honeycomb chocolate salted caramel cheesecake.  MMMMM.  Alternatively give me a plate of garlic bread and I’m pretty much set

9. Describe your room. Bout the size of a decent hotel room, blue curtains, blue walls and blue carpet, posters and photos EVERYWHERE, beanbag by the radiator, two bookshelves.  more posters.

10. Dream house? a modern one fitted with all the latest technology and an entire playroom for cats.  has a soundproof room for youtube recording.  slides.  fallout shelter.  

11. How many kids do you want and why? 0. cuz they scream and are expensive and take up all your time and mean you can’t be free.  the kids.  they are shackles.  the people i babysit for cant even go to the cinema anymore without having to pay me to do it.

12. What do you do with your free time?  internet.  sometimes gaming, singing, playing with the cat.  sometimes hanging out with friends, online or irl.  maybe i’ll even get some writing in there too.  

13. What’s a project you’re working on? umm i’m writing a dean-and-cas-with-a-cat fic and also a forceghost obikin fic.  supposedly writing anyway.  and i’ve got my reviews for work.

14. 3 Favourite movies? PoTc: CotBP, Lost in Translation, Iron Man 3

15. What’s something you’re weirdly passionate about? probably spn.  friendships??? 

16. Describe a dream you’ve had. I think I posted about it but I had a little credit card shaped device, and it had a button.  When I pressed the button I FLEW.  It was incredible.

Let’s haaaave... Cas (duh), Kevin and Hannah.

What do you like/love and dislike/hate about each of the above 3 characters?

Ooh, okay. Cas - I love how he thinks for himself, despite that being completely against everything he has been taught - he does what he believes to be the right thing, even if it will harm him. He is fiercely protective of Dean and Sam, and a proper badass, whilst at the same time being adorably curious about humanity (he is the Arthur Weasley of spn), and endearingly earnest. I dislike the fact that he seems to think so lowly of himself - bab has literally saved the world several times - he needs some more self-love. Kevin. I love how much he grew from the little AP student who only cared about grades and approval, to KEVIN FREAKING SOLO, who didn't flinch when the king of hell himself was on his back. I love how he took no shit, especially from the Winchesters, and how he called them out on their idiotic manpain TM. I obviously hate the way his character died :(, and the fact that he never met Charlie, because they would be BESTIES fight me. Hannah. I love how willing to listen they were, and how they loved Cas as an individual, instead of through family loyalty. I also really like the fact that they vacated their vessel because they knew that was the right thing to do, despite it being somewhat inconvenient for them. I hate that they died, but that's a running theme with spn :/. I also kinda hate that they bowed to peer pressure and betrayed Cas in the end - I thought they were stronger than that.

If you could somehow be guaranteed to not have anything horrible happen to you in connection with it and you could meet one SPN character from any time in the show, which one would you pick?

Haha, hmmmmm. I'd love to meet Charlie, because she's awesome, but if I have to pick ONE, you know it's gonna be Cas. Let's go with human Cas before Dean found him - I'd make him hot chocolate and take care of him until his bf turned up.

Is there a monster (already known-of or not) that hasn’t appeared in SPN that you’d like to see (and if so, what)?

(Nat these are EXCELLENT questions!) Hmm, I'd love to see them do some international hunting, maybe things like kelpies or the Loch Ness monster or leprechauns (I want them to film in the UK is what I'm saying...)

Which pairings of SPN characters that have not/never met in the SPN Universe (that we know of) would you ship? [Not necessarily in a romantic way btw.]

KEVIN AND CHARLIE are my ultimate friendship. So sad they never got to know one another in canon - I love fics where they hang out at ComicCon together or something :D. I also think Claire and Jo would have got on pretty well - they have the same no-nonsense attitude, and I think they'd be mates, despite wildly differing music tastes.

[No judgements, promise:] Are there any characters that you wish had just never been written into the show?

Amelia. What was the POINT of Amelia?? I have nothing against Sam having a romantic interest, but she was so BLAH. She was no Sarah Blake, basically. 

What skills/crafts do you think the characters would take up if they had the time and mental energy?

Haha, omg. Dean would be hardcore into LARPing, and would hone his kitchen skills to the point where he could open his own cafe/restaurant :D. Sam would probably be even more athletic, doing yoga or somesuch, and would take his researching skills into the genealogy field - they would have a massive family tree taking up a wall of the bunker. He would also DEVOUR crappy crime novels for the thrill of working out whodunnit before the characters did. Cas would be into any form of creating things (Dean thinks it's a sort of atonement for all the destruction he wrought, but would never say it aloud) - knitting, gardening, woodwork, photography etc. His instagram account is full of arty pictures of flowers and insects, plus a couple of Dean sleeping.

What prop from the show would you most love to have (here I want to clarify/confirm that Baby is a character not a prop)?

Cas's trenchcoat (or one of them :D). I would keep it even safer than Dean did.

Which episodes do you re-watch the most?

The silly ones - French Mistake, Changing Channels, Fan Fiction, Hunter Heroci etc etc. Also any Destiel heavy ones - The Man Who Would be King, Free to be You and Me, ANY of season 11 :P.

What character from another show would you like to dropped into the Supernatural Universe?

Gonna flip this around and say that I'd LOVE to see the spn boys dropped into the Night Vale universe - I just... how would they deal with that?? I think Dean would have some kind of apoplectic seizure XD.

I'm okay, thank you!! A little overwhelmed by the house and all the packing/tidying we have to do, and battling the usual SAD and related anxiety, as per, but I have a PUPPY to look after, which is frikkin DELIGHTFUL so far, so I'm doing pretty well :).

Pick 3 SPN characters and list them here: Man I don’t wanna go obvious.  But.  Sam Dean and Cas aaaahhh

What do you like/love and dislike/hate about each of the above 3 characters? Sam - he’ll do anything for anyone.  He’s just such a genuine guy with a huge heart.  He’s also a lot more balanced than his brother when it comes to their... sort of toxic relationship lmao.  I don’t like.. that... errr... oh god how he lied about the book to dean all last season.  that sucked a lot. Dean - He might come across as a huge badass and a don’t-give-a-shit-bout-anything, shoot first ask questions later suave cocky guy, which, I mean, he is, but he’s all fluffy and lovely underneath that, once you break into his core.  I love that, and his nerdy side, and how he’ll do anything for his family, however he chooses to define it.  I dislike HOW HE KICKED CAS OUTTA THE BUNKER i mean i get it but I DONT LIKE IT Cas - I love his entire S4 - S5 story arc - breaking free of Heaven’s command to change the story for the humans he’s come to feel too much for.  Or maybe always did??? I mean I love that - I don’t know how to phrase this more eloquently - he’s a massive cinnamon roll.  I dislike how many times he gets tortured :( But I very much like his blanket and netflix storyline this season.  very good A*

I think he’d expand on the engineering thing - create more stuff, see what he can do.  And on the side he’d totally get into table top gaming or LARPing with Charlie :P Sam... I wanna say something writing based.  He could probably write a mean phd.  Is that a skill tho? haha.  Cas... anything and everything.  I’m sure he’d want to explore all the hobbies.
