Asa wins a large sum of money from his court case getting a mental hospital shut down for medical malpractice.

What's Different?
After fleeing to the US, Asa tries to become an artist. He doesn't do well, but tries to get his art into a few different galleries in town and work as an illustrator.
After years of barely scraping by, he meets Silas Lowe at one of his art shows. They get drinks & Silas brings up an interesting point - his art and creativity could serve a great purpose in marketing and project management, if he had a business degree.
While dating Silas, he gets his GED and then goes to University.
All the while, he feeds the feelings from his father's killing and occasionally dips into murder. This gets him brought into the Syndicate after seeing his interesting background and court case.
Asa gets into marketing for businesses, works on public speaking and ends up becoming Project Manager.
Asa continues in the Syndicate and becomes Captain after his various successes as a hitman under their hire.
Silas and Asa get married, and live in a large flat with their dog and multiple cats. Silas has not been told about Asa's Syndicate position, but may have inklings.
Asa is more confident, talkative, and personable.
