Tantive IV Lego Poster by Vesa Lehtimäki The Tantive IV deserves a spot on my Lego Star Wars spaceship poster series. It is such a no brainer that it didn’t occur to me until yesterday. The previous all new poster, the U-wing, is from almost two years ago. So, this was a long overdue new entry. I tried to avoid the Tatooine twin suns because I had already used them with the Millennium Falcon poster, but there was no way around it. It just had to be. I made the sun layout a little different to make some distance between the two.

Lego U-wing Starfighter Poster by Vesa Lehtimäki The U-wing is another great new spaceship design from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. I like it a lot, especially the interior, which I think is one of the best spaceship interiors in the whole franchise. If you take a closer look at it, the amount of detail and the brilliant weathering makes it look as real as any interior can be. Real or fictional. Set design and decoration at its best. It's brilliant! The Lego iteration of the U-wing is neat, the folding wings are a bit short, I guess, but otherwise it's really nice. For this poster I enhanced the folding wings by having them represented partially in graphics only. This is number nine in my ongoing series of Lego Star Wars spaceship posters.

Self Portrait. by Avanaut https://flic.kr/p/XNAMoS I rarely show my mug anywhere because I don't think it's relevant in any way. If it's about my photographs, they should suffice. There has been exceptions of course, like my book, but not many. Today, there is one. Don't get used to these, this won't happen again anytime soon. This is for an article in Suomen Kuvalehti, a prestigious 101 year old weekly newsmagazine in Finland. For me, this publication is one of the cornerstones of journalism in the country. They ran a piece on their "Hän" (Him/Her) series, in my case it meant a six page interview of, well... me. I am very proud of appearing on their pages. Finnish only. My job was to take the main photo of me myself. They don't usually do it like that but in my case they made the call to break the pattern. On one hand it was a relief because I don't like being on that side of the lens, it gets uncomfortable fast. But being alone and in control it was a little easier, while on the other hand it was quite horrifying since I wasn't quite sure my ideas would really work. This is not what I intended to do, you see. In the end, I decided to go the easy way and just make a follow-up to the photo I made a couple of weeks earlier, I parked the X-wing back where it was, where I knew it looked nice, and took a selfie. Simple! It turned out better than my initial idea anyway.
