I'm reading through the Avatar Fire and Ash visual dictionary. The book keeps talking about the Sully family coming from the Na'ring Rainforest.

Na'rìng is forest in Na'vi.

Did some RDA grunt ask a member of the Omatikaya what the forest was called, was told Na'rìng and went 'nah-rihng, got it.'

(this sort of thing actually happens a lot: tautological place names, Wikipedia)

(i and ì are pronounced differently in Na'vi. I is ee, like feet, ì is ih like in fit. But Na'ring is exactly how I'd expect someone unfamiliar with the Na'vi language to spell what they heard. And is probably easier to type.)

If Popiti is the Tuk best friend, than Tuvat is Lo’ak is age, they should have friends also,

It would have been really interesting to see Popiti and Tuvat include with spider, lo’ak, tuk and kiri.

My sister got me the visual dictionary for my birthday 😍 and I am absolutely loving it, but I notiCED something:

Who is this kid in the brain scanner?? If it is spider then why is he dressed like that? Besides they don’t have spider’s hair 🤓

I have my hopes up that this is a still from a deleted scene that gives a bit more background information on the torture device/spider’s stay at Bridgehead …

I'm reading the visual dictionary of Avatar atm and don't call me paranoid, but I found this small pic and sorry, but the guy on the left reminds me of Quaritch. Idk the pose and the face, and it could be Jake in the background... 🫣 What do you think?

How much of a good impression did Norm have on the Olangi? Because his knife, satchel, and necklace that he has on his avatar is Olangi based/styled.

As far as we know he knew the Olangi tribe for maybe a day and a half before the battle in the first movie, and maybe a few days after but in human form. There is the possibility that he visited them during the the between the first and second movie, but I can't think of a reason why other than him wanting to visit after his avatar was healed.

I demand more Norm content.
