A4 starts with Kiri narrating the burial of Graces Avatar body.
It has been deteriorating over the last 8 years (the time skip) and Kiri+ family have traveled back to be with Mo'at and the Omatikaya when Norm breaks the news.
The avatar is ~55yo at this point, while also being brain dead for the last 25 years. That's gonna have to have some consequences sooner or later. And the whole concept of a person having two bodies, and when one body dies the other one is braindead but also morally can't rly be killed is very problematic anyway, so I think this would be the most reasonable/ smart solution.
How does one feel burying their mothers body, if said mother has been dead for the last 25 years?☹️
