Thanator
First sketch in my new horizontal sketchbook – and yeah, I actually used a pencil this time (which is rare for me, I usually go straight in with a pen). I’ll probably turn this into a digital version later.
It’s a thanator (palulukan) – my favorite creature from the Avatar universe 💙
is there someone who knows all the clans in Pandora?do u guys think is there a clan that resulted from the fusion of two different races?(srry for bad english)
The Norm has a family revelation comes from the interview with Josh Izzo during OmatiCon.
So the lore right now (JC can still change it): - Norm's wife is Olangi and that's why Norm wears a lot of Olangi accessories. - They have 2 kids and one of them is Popiti (Tuk's best friend according to Visual Dictionary) and they are both supposed to be there when Norm plays the fiddle in High Ground comic. These two kids are his biological offspring not adopted.
Maybe the person by Norm in this panel is his wife. Maybe the 2 kids in the front holding hands are Tuk and Popiti or maybe they are both Norm's kids. The art is not very detailed in this one so it's hard to tell if any of the kids has more fingers or eyebrows (even Jake is lacking eyebrows in wide shots). But this one is for sure one of Norm's kids and I think they look more Na'vi like.
- Olangi were decimated during the Tree of Souls battle and the survivors joined with Omatikaya. They lived in their yurts set between the new Hometree and Hell's Gate before RDA came back. - There might be Norm/AVTR Program comics in the future about the time before coming to Pandora (with Tommy and applying to go) and/or the time between A1 and A2. I want this so much right now.
On the non-Norm news side
There was also talk about some other media stuff coming, international fandom experiences available and merchandise.
He talks how they supervise lore to make it consistent between different media but movies always are most important. This includes any mistakes in pronunciation or grammar (which actually makes Na'vi more like real language aa none are ever 100% consistent).
Quaritch's ikran is not named Cupcake. Stephen Lang gets to name it and Zoe Saldana gets to name Neytiri's new ikran. I wonder if other actors got to name theirs.
Here is it whole thing
✨🏆✨👏🏽
SO ive gotten really into the avatar fandom this past month or two, rewatched the films, saw afaa in cinema, played afop n finished it and its dlc n expansions, and just in general im loving the community/fandom :3
i decided to make some size charts/height guides for the creatures of Pandora to hopefully be a useful resource for artists or fic writers etc.
took a week or so but i finally finished the last one today! all 3 are on my DA for download/higher quality (note these r just screenshots, the og images r too big XD so ive atatched the links)
i hope these are helpful. if used or posted anywhere pls do give credit, i put a lot of work into making these <3
when we get more creatures in future i will expand them or make more - - - - - im probably gonna be posting some afop stuff of my sarentu and any avatar ocs or fanart so keep an eye out for that :3 at least while the fixation holds XD
Varang
the better version
Again, I love it!
I've gone back to watching the Avatar movies again, it's incredible! I loved them so much, they're beautiful, the story is amazing! And the atmosphere of the second movie, Under the Sea, was fantastic too! But I need more content... if they released a 10-hour extended version, I'd gladly watch it. I just want to know more about this world!
Besides, why are the designs so cute? The lighting, the creatures, the atmosphere, the way their faces glow! And the evolutionary differences between each clan based on their habitat are incredible! That look is really great!
The details are incredible! The clothes, the fabrics, everything about the characters is so detailed that it completely captivates me. The details of the songs fill me with complicated emotions. After the death of the eldest son, I cried a lot listening to Neytiri sing...
