Summary: Zuko can't sleep on the ferry to Ba Sing Se, so he goes looking for Jet.

Jet, he supposed, was also handsome, in a roguish way. His skin was a shade of brown warmed by the sun and marked by scars: shiny pink ones, flat white ones, dark brown ones that could have been streaks and smudges of dirt if Zuko didn’t know better. Zuko couldn’t decide if Jet’s hair looked soft and feathery or rough and wiry, but he liked the way it looked all the same, how it flopped over his forehead but didn’t quite cover the wicked arches of his eyebrows.

But it’s Jet’s eyes that drew Zuko in the most, although he couldn’t explain it. His eyes were a rich hazelnut, but it was what was in them that made Jet so intriguing. It just took one look at him for one to know that the boy had been through it. His eyes weren’t full of despair or fear; they were full of fire, of passion and determination. Jet didn’t just say things; he meant them with every fiber of his being.
