No, James is not more “logically straight” unless he stands up and says it in canon. I’m willing to have that debate with you any day of the week, just let me know what this so called “logic” is, because I’ve seen all 1k+ episodes of the pokeani, and I’ve seen absolutely none of anything resembling that.

“Why do they always have to play the victim?” Please fill me in on who exactly you mean by “they”? I’m all ears.

Big deal? Drama? What you have here are passionate people discussing something that means a lot to them. It is not “drama” and calling it that is... really condescending and unkind to the people who are expressing their opinions on either side. That’s really uncool.

Discussion is healthy, discourse is healthy, what is unhealthy is a giant echo chamber where everyone agrees and no opposing viewpoints are thrown in. I do not want to be a part of anything like that. If I wanted everyone to agree with me all the time, I would end up a very shallow & unsympathetic person.

If you think there aren’t homophobes, I REALLY don’t know what to tell you, other than... congrats on probably being a straight person in a fandom space. Sounds nice and easy. Wish I knew what that was like. I guess I’ll be the first to tell you, then: every single person is homophobic. Even gay people are raised to hate themselves by the world. The only way to not be homophobic is to recognize it in yourself and consciously unlearn it, and given the reaction to me saying something as simple as “hey, it’s really skeeving me out how quickly people wanted to jump onto shutting down an LGBT headcanon with what they perceive as hard evidence”? I can tell you that we’ve got a lot of work to do here.
