Avengers in daily life: Disney World Edition
“This is absolutely ridiculous.” Stephen huffed in annoyance, his arms folded across his chest as he trudged along to the distant screams of his fellow team mates.
Screams of glee, that is.
“So is your cape, Dracula. What’s your point?” Tony snickers from beside Stephen, tugging on said cape as he speeds ahead toward the donut stand.
“FOR THE LAST TIME, IT’S A CLOAK!”
But Tony didn’t even hear him, too caught up in watching excitedly as the man at the stand glazed his order, his mouth watering at the sight.
Today was the first day off for The Avengers in months. Something this rare of an occasion just had to be celebrated...at least that’s what Tony had convinced them all.
So now, here they were at Disney World, causing more chaos in the large park than any child could have been capable of.
“WAIT FOR US, MR.STARK! WE WANT SOME TOO!”
Peter speeds past Stephen dragging Shuri by the hand, sending his cloak in a frenzy, wrapping itself around his body like a cocoon.
“SORRY!” Shuri called back in a fit of giggles.
“Oh cheer up, Stephen. This is a day of joy!”
Wong unravelled the sorcerer quickly sending him flying in the other direction.
“...My bad.” Wong cringed as he watched his friend land in an open kiosk.
Natasha walked over to him, staring down at his slumped figure.
She was dressed head to toe in Avengers merchandise; A captain America book bag clinging to her back, an iron man mask pulled on top of her head to reveal her face, plastic Mjolnir in hand, a winter soldier arm sleeve on the other unoccupied arm, a Hawkeye T-shirt and Black Panther leggings. She even had a small Spiderman symbol drawn on her cheek.
She leaned down, face to face with the wizard. They eyed each other for a minute, him slightly intimidated by her yet quite confused with her apparel. She reached down and with a blink of an eye swiped the cloak right off of him.
“Finally. My collection is complete.” She spoke in the scariest, low, monotone voice.
She smirked running off, out of the kiosk, leaving Stephen lying there wide eyed as she pranced around the park shouting “I AM THE AVENGERS”
Clint suddenly swooped down from the Tower of Terror ride behind her, launching an arrow with rope attached to it to the donut stand across the way, swinging down it like a zip line.
As he neared Natasha he lowered a hand, revealing to be holding a Mickey Mouse cream pie, which he then smashed into her face as he passed.
Distant loud laughter could be heard from the man as Natasha smeared the cream off her face and growled.
“HOW DARE YOU DISRESPECT THE AVENGERS LIKE THIS! YOU WILL PERISH!”
She charges toward him, following the trail of rope and crumbs he left behind.
She passes by Bucky and Steve, who were on a spinning teacup like ride.
They laughed at the image of the “geared up” cream faced assassin, tears forming in their eyes.
“This ride is so slow, Buck. It’s boring now.”
Bucky rolled his eyes, leaning back against the seat.
“Shut up, we aren’t going on that tower ride.”
“BUT-” He stands up, pointing at the tower in the distance.
“ANYTHING WITH THE WORD ‘TERROR’ IN IT IS NOT FOR YOU, NOW SIT BACK DOWN YOU’LL LOSE A LIMB!”
Steve just stares at Bucky, cheeks puffing out, turning red, trying so badly to hold in all the arm jokes that swam through his mind.
Bucky glared at the blond, casually removing his arm and smacking him with it.
Steve fell down into the seat slightly dizzy from the ride and the hit combined.
“Can’t cause trouble if you’re knocked out.” Bucky stated matter-of-factly, proud of temporarily taming the wild animal that was Steve Rogers.
Bucky’s smile fades as he hears a loud ‘BOOM’ followed by immense laughter.
His eyebrows furrow, looking down at Steve beside him.
“Do what?” Steve groans, grabbing his head with one hand and stomach with the other.
“CAUSE A FIGHT JUST BY BEING HERE!”
Little did he know what was actually going on.
A few yards away Tony had devised a plan to drive the Hulk out of Banner, wanting to see the big guy have some fun too.
And by fun, he meant see a giant green rage monster’s reaction to being at Disney World for the first- and probably last- time ever.
Tony had gotten a hulk mask to sneak up behind Bruce, who was waiting patiently outside of the gift shop for his friend’s return.
“RAHHWRWAR!” Tony shook the scientist’s shoulders from behind, him turning around immediately and shrieking in fright.
The Hulk emerged from what once was Bruce, staring down at Tony in anger for the pulled stunt.
“ONLY ONE HULK!” He roared punching the smug, cackling Tony in his masked face.
As Tony’s body hit the ground, Peter and Shuri stood not too far away, eyeing the scene from the start.
The two teens turned to look at one another, wide grins spread across their faces as they shouted in unison;
“Why...just, why?” Tchalla facepalmed from beside the pair, shaking his head in dismay.
He walked over to Tony and Hulk, shushing the green beast into transforming back but it only upset him, swinging- and thankfully missing- at Tchalla.
Kids, families, tourists all looked on in awe. The younglings amazed that they themselves got to see the Avengers while everyone else just thought it was part of a Disney park show.
“Maybe we should help them?” Peter’s voice goes up an octave as he shrugs his shoulders up.
“Meh, sure, why not.” Shuri shrugs back in agreement, both of them heading over to the two caretakers.
Hulk swings at both of the teens as they whip crazily around him in circles, his fist just barely landing near Shuri.
“I’m a bad bitch, you can’t kill me!”
Tchalla and Tony groan in unison at the girl, Tony still lying on the ground.
Everyone stopped what they were doing to look over at the golden haired god that stood before them, Loki standing behind him looking fairly irritated.
Thor walked over to the green giant, stared up at him and flashed a dazzling smile.
“WELL HELLO THERE, OLD FRIEND! LONG TIME, NO SMASH!”
“HULK NOT FRIENDS WITH RAIN GOD!”
Thor’s face scrunches at the mistake, his voice more stern now.
He sighs as he realizes there is no point in arguing it.
He walks closer to him, latching onto his huge foot like a koala on a branch, hugging his ankle.
“YOU JUST NEED A HUG, DON’T YOU BIG GUY?!”
Hulk looks down at him in confusion before slowly turning back into Bruce.
Bruce stiffens uncomfortably at everyone’s eyes on him, Thor still clinging to his leg.
“Uh, Thor...can you get off of me?”
“Oh, yeah. Sorry about that.” He chuckles awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. “Good thing I was here in time! A hero’s job is never done!”
He stands confidently, admiring the crowd that had witnessed his kind act.
A kid then runs up to him, sitting on his foot and hugging his leg as he had done to Banner moments before.
“OH! How delightful! THE SMALL MORTAL CHILD HAS LEARNED FROM MY ACTIONS! I AM FLATTERED, YOUNG BEING!”
Tons and tons of kids hurriedly raced toward the Asgardian, tackling him and grabbing onto him like a jungle gym.
Thor yelped in surprise and fear as the children weighed him down as they multiplied, Bruce giggling at the sight.
“Hey, if the whole God of Thunder thing doesn't work out, you always got babysitting!” Bruce shouts, purposefully ignoring Thor’s pleas for help.
“I AM NOT A RIDE! NO! I AM AN AVENGER, I SWEAR TO YOU CHILDREN!”
“Can you blame them? You look like a walking statue!” Bruce’s chuckles erupts further.
“HEY! WHICH ONE OF YOU JUST BIT ME!?”
Loki walks past the small group of heroes, standing above Tony with a shit eating smirk on his face.
“How’s that feel? Hurts without your armor, does it not?”
Small, long, squealing sounds of pain emit from Tony’s mouth as he winces, reaching a hand up and flipping the middle finger.
Loki howls with laughter, holding his stomach with both hands, enjoying the scene.
Stephen walks over and stands beside Loki, staring down at Tony’s limp body.
“Can we go, now?” He grumbles at the billionaire before feeling a sticky, slimy, cold texture run down his neck.
he reaches a hand back and pulls it forward in front of his eyes.
“cream...” He confirms, a grimace forming on his features.
“YOU’VE BEEN SPY PIED!” Clint shouts from behind him, running forward as Natasha begins to catch up.
“YOU CAN’T ESCAPE ME!” She screams, waving the plastic Mjolnir in the air.
Peter crouches down near Tony, sticking his face in his.
"Sooo...are we going or...?”
“Yes..” Steve says with a serious look approaching the group,
his face dripping with cream pie, Bucky in hysterics on the ground beside him, pointing at the man.
