Heyo! Welcome to the blog. Home of mainly XCOM content and other fandoms I'm interested in.
You'll find most of my writings here, on Ao3, or FF.net. Here and Ao3 are the ones updated more often than FF.net
Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Whether it be about characters, aliens, or whatever! Actually love answering asks and I do try to warn about spoilers. But if you don’t care about spoilers, you can put that in the ask. I’ll still try to tag the post as spoilers for others or mention it in the beginning.
Also regarding my art. You are not allowed to use my art or my characters for use anywhere else (even with credit). If a post with a canon character says you can use the art as an icon go for it (and ask if it doesn’t). But for anything else, especially dealing with my characters, that’s a hard no. These are things I pour a lot of care and energy into.
Also, this is an adult space due to the content of my work, and if you're under 18 do not follow. You will be soft blocked once. Repeat offenders will be hard blocked.

Fandom Wiki Hub - You’ll find links to various fics and other fandom hubs depending on how much I’ve written for each. It's a massive WIP to be honest.

✦ Blocking Criteria:
This is an adult space due to the content of my work, and if you’re under 18 do not follow. You will be soft blocked once. Repeat offenders will be hard blocked.
Annoyances/Spammers/Etc. will also be blocked.
And some don't fall into the above. Sometimes Tumblr keeps spamming me your content and I have no interest. No offense, just don't vibe with it, but blocking is the only solution until they make a mute function or "stop recommending" option.
Also, sometimes you get hit when I'm taking care of bots. Tumblr gets a little glitchy. Sorry. You can send a message via my Straw.page if you think you've been wrongly blocked.

✦ Tags:
Art Tag - Hopefully, it contains all the art but Tumblr is fickle with tags.
Writing Tag - This should contain all writings original to this blog and reblogged from the main blog.
Echoed Chatter - Kinda my rambling tag that goes to anything and any fandom.
My (less depressing… kinda) Tower ending Nomad!V will be dragging Goro out of Night City with her to go trekking across the country and potentially the world with part of her old crew she gets back together. She very much prefers to be traveling compared to staying in one place for too long. But will come back to visit old friends.
The long trip will break him out of his shell more and also help him escape the assassins.
Not only is having worldbuilding threads that are mentioned once and never picked up again not a flaw in fantasy media, I'd go so far as to say that a lack of such threads is a flaw. If everything ties up in one neat little package, you're missing the point of fantasy worldbuilding. Like, don't do it on every page, or your setting is going to be an overstuffed mess, but every so often you are not only allowed but obligated to casually drop some utterly batshit worldbuilding detail and then just never follow up on it. Maybe some rocks are sentient. You don't owe your reader an explanation. Just fucking go for it.
I am very happy I’ve managed to reach that plateau of not wanting follow-ups to series/franchises I love when it’s been some years or decades.
I’ll always have some skepticism when a follow up eventually comes around due to a few factors, mainly being the original dev team is no longer around, or they are but the dev team/company’s philosophy has changed so much that it could very much affect the game.
Also, the third option of it being an entirely new dev team that were huge fans of the series. Either they will make something pretty faithful and adds on to the series or it won’t be and has a chance of killing the series even more than before…
And I’ve experienced the below so many times, it’s both funny and not funny. Another reason why I try to avoid the hype mentality, it’ll just hurt you in the end.
Technically yes. That's something I thought about sometime after I wrote Thaddeus' rescue/awakening fic(Here). Just... I have to tailor each Commander related nightmare differently for Bradford and others that had that hidden, but strong bond Asaru set up.
For Bradford and Jynn, I'm letting their teenhood friendship play into it, so that'll be consistent across all AUs where Jynn gets captured and experimented on. Also, playing with the idea that Asaru did a little extra "Ha, ha, ha no. Let me suppress those feelings so we don't have problems."
So, eventually those nightmares will be brought up in due time when applicable per AUverse. I have to figure out how each one will be shaped as they will be influenced by each Commanders' psionics and the speciality they will lean towards besides how the Base attack affected them. With the latter, there will be crossover with that for all of them.
Some hints in a more general sense for them all below. Have to tailor each one more specifically to Braddy boy. Mild warnings for trauma... I think that'll be appropriate.
All will flicker between how they looked before capture, during capture(several phases), and just before being rescued.
Across All - Lots and lots of voices. Screaming, crying, pleading. Most are the people that died that day of the base attack and then more victims that came while they were under the Elders 'care."
They're all kind of semi-aware but process it differently.
Off and on Asaru will appear in the nightmares/visions. Interactions with the Commander will vary for each, but also wanting to be found.
Thaddeus - Get ready for rage and to be hunted in your dreams by a him where his face is obscured in an ever-shifting shadow, and he's soaked in blood. Also, you'll have beady blue, glowing eyes tracking you like a predator. An accusatory "You" is thrown out a lot. His "shoulder devil" may or may not be there doing more goading and questioning why they(XCOM) is so slow to find their leader. The other half(sorrow) will try to defend the person, but gets drowned out by all that rage and hate. You will wake up in a cold sweat with the possibility of screaming your head off. Also, expect bruising. Lots and lots of bruising, especially around the neck.
Kamon - Dead silence, minus a little background chatter. Him just sitting there, surrounded by a psionic web. The limbs he loses are blurred. He's just staring blankly before her focuses on the unfortunate dreamer. That dead, disconnected look he semi-naturally has. But it feels judging and hurting. Says one thing, rarely on repeat. "Dust and echoes... All They leave is dust and echoes..."
Elli - Probably the most talkative, besides Lucian, but it's a cacophony of voices coming out of her mouth and it is driving her insane as she's trying to find her own. Besides screaming to be 'let out', 'stop', cursing the Elders and complaining about their cacophonous chatter, and some other things, she's calling out for her beloved dead dog... Her face and neck are also distorted, hinting at some of her changes. You're going to wake up with some tinnitus and a faint daze that'll last for some days.
Lucian - Chatterbox mode of him reciting various orders he made during the initial Invasion, with some ADVENT orders interspersed here and there. But a little hidden in the background he's going through various languages detailing what is going on for him and a few others. Form flickers between the human him and the just the brain and spine(plus alien biomass) him. Catching the dreamer in question, he'll start reciting code, more-so coordinates of his potential location or things that will be of help when he's found, but it's a bit broken to near gibberish since he's process a lot of information and not wanting to fully acknowledge his current condition.
Jynn - Some things are shared from the Bradford specific nightmare. Repeats of her noting the feeling the Elders pushing their mass mind control on the base and feeling them trying to ensnare her, but she and Asaru(she's fully aware of him at that point) are pushing them out while keeping key personnel free of the mind control and trying to free others. "Too many minds... Just too many minds... So much chatter... Chatter, chatter, chatter. Hate. Hate. Hate. All talking. All dying. Hurts. Hurts. Hurts."
Commanders(s): *Finally puts in the order to see what those ADVENT rations, especially the meat ones, are made of to see if they’re safe to eat and the same with some civilian food they accidentally grabbed on a raid due to their food storages getting damaged(spoiled) after getting knocked out of the air by a UFO*
I mean, we're talking about people whose lifespan is Yes.
"Oh, the weak wine? That is for children. I am two thousand years old, and I daresay one sip from this highball would knock you on your ass for a week."
Look, there's this weird thing people do with high fantasy where they want elves to be immortal/extremely long-lived snooty aristocrats and also somehow incapacitated by imagining the taste of salt too hard. "Orcs and dwarves have the hardest booze" no they don't, they have work in the morning! In any of these settings, elves would pregame harder than hobbits party and everyone else has shit to do tomorrow.
The average high elf builds up the drug tolerance of a mid-70s Hollywood producer and then spends three centuries studying alchemy. While humans seek immortality, the Immortals seek the elusive "philosopher's cocaine."
