(minor spoilers for the 7th Lostbelt)
The intro of Karakuri Castle had great Servant interactions - I already squeed over Bedivere and the other Knights, but another that got to my heart was Ozymandias and Avenger Nitocris speaking together.
Ozy is still speaking in his usual grand manner, but he's being more overtly kind and welcoming to Nitocris...
His expression here with closed eyes, but still smiling - it speaks as much as his words. Chaldea's Ozy and Nitocris had memories of the Sixth Singularity, so as far as their Chaldean counterparts were concerned they've been working together for a long time - theirs is a half-professional, half-familial bond, with Nitocris looking up to Ozymandias as the ideal pharaoh and doing her best to aid him, and Ozymandias repaying Nitocris's awe of him by constantly reassuring her of her own worth as pharaoh.
All that and then - the Nitocris as we knew her died in the 7th Lostbelt.
Sure, some things about Avenger Nitocris is like her, but she is essentially a new Servant, and I'm sure in his own way Ozymandias mourns her loss - he always did look out for her, even back in the 6th Singularity - he stopped her from completely giving herself over to her mirror to stop Rhongomyniad, because he didn't want her to go to the underworld.
And now Avenger Nitocris is the proxy of that very underworld.
(and isn't it messed up that one of Nitocris's closest friends is Scheherazade among the Servants...and that Schez overcame her selfish fear of death in her own Interlude and transformed her desire to not die into "I still don't want to die, but I want my friends to be alive with me, too"...and now Nito died but came back as an embodiment of the Underworld?? With the Anubis persona even bluntly saying their touch can kill??? this really needs its own post)
In any case, it's clear that Ozymandias's fondness and concern for Nitocris is extended to the Avenger version, and Ozy doesn't dwell on Nitocris's death, but rather the continuation of her presence.
He even suggests himself that Nitocris could treat him as a younger brother, if she wished.
Nitocris does understand the kindness of the gesture, and even tries to go with it, but she's still Nitocris, so it comes out awkward for her.
You're still my favorite pharaoh daughter, Nitocris.
Arash also pops in to continue lightening things up.
Don't be a meanie, Arash!
But though this little interaction starts out with the heaviness of loss, it wraps up with a wholesome sentiment, as Arash also treats Nitocris as her own self and not just an underworld judge.
She's no longer the Nitocris as we knew her...but she's still Nitocris, and both Ozymandias and Arash, in their own ways, continue to be kind to her and wish her well.
