The second Avery started to open the clinic door, Rosie’s energy increased tenfold with excitement. The fluffy black and white dog pulled towards Finn when she saw her owner standing a few feet away. The vet laughed, hurrying alongside her so that she could get to him as quickly as possible. “Somebody missed you!” She smiled, looking between Rosie and Finn. “She looks amazing, passed her check-up with flying colors not that it’s any surprise.” It made Avery happy whenever she got to return an animal to their person or family in such good and healthy spirits even if it was just an annual check-up.
It was a bit difficult for Avery to knock or send a text saying she had arrived while carrying several bottles of wine in her hands so instead she called out, hopefully Franny was near her front door. “I’m here! I received your emergency asap text and I have wine” The vet exclaimed aloud praying she wasn’t being loud enough for any neighbors to hear or be bothered by her presence. But ultimately that was less important and it had been the best option under the circumstances.

Rating:⭐⭐⭐⭐(4/5)
Synopsis: My hiding plan was pretty foolproof. In fact, I only made one mistake -- not counting on four Deadly Sins being transferred to my penitentiary. But they're here now, and their presence is upending my life.
Meet:
Sexy Jack of All Trades.
Dangerous Liam of Mischievous Games.
Mental Darrell of All Things Sinister.
Lethal Luca of Pleasure and Torture.
The only thing I know for sure about them is that all four men are delicious and deadly, and I take it upon myself to discover exactly what types of supernatural beings they are. But as I work on uncovering their secrets, they decide it's their duty to get me back out into the world.
As a shattered princess, being in the depths of prison never bothered me, but now that four thrilling men are fighting their hardest to get me out, I have a feeling the outside world is where I'd love to start a new adventure.
Many people mistakenly believe I hide out of fear. Oh, if only they knew just how dangerous an innocent little royal can be. Then again, they'll find out soon enough.
Tagged by @risualto to make some OCs in this picrew! I’ve seen a whole bunch of people do these - so I’m not gonna tag anyone, but if you see this and you want to go nuts, please do! And tag me, I want to see your OCs :)
Top Row: Chaos babies
Orissa Damaris Darzi (D&D): My first d&d character! Pirate, arcane trickster, overall chaos gremlin here to fuck shit up
Talisman (D&D): Charlatan / grifter turned warlock after being mortally wounded on the run from the city guard. Has too many secrets, and an imp familiar named Arkemyr.
Mal (D&D): Talis’ patron. A devil so low on the pecking order he’s really not usually worth mentioning. Currently working with Talis to put him in Hell’s big chair, and (hopefully) tear up the original contract on her family. They’re levelling up together!
Middle Row: Good beans
Meric Ivellios (D&D): They’re a half-elf mage, Orissa’s magical tutor (and romantic interest) and an absolute sweetheart
Izrin Aventis (PoE): Cipher from Old Vailia turned Watcher. Tired child functioning solely on the power of love and friendship at this point
Sarai (PfKm): Chaotic good sorcerer head over heels for local angel boy
Bottom Row: Sad clowns
Malina Hawke (DA2): The only DA protagonist I constantly revisit. Purple mage who romanced Fenris and will stomp you with her pointy boots if you even look at Carver wrong
Avery Song (Fallen Hero): Drinks too much, needs sleep, trying her very best to be the villain Los Diablos needs
Kassandra Lin (Wayhaven Chronicles): Deceptively well-adjusted pastel queen detective with unresolved issues with her mother currently arguing her way into a relationship with emotionally constipated vampire
Avery waved as she saw the blonde come in the front door with cat carrier in hand. She got up from her desk and walked over to meet her. “Ava-Kate, hey. Come on in, we’ll go into the first exam room here.” The vet pointed to one of two larger doors directly behind them. Holding the door open for the woman and her pets she then closed it behind them and headed over to the exam table. “Alrighty, who do we wanna take a look at first?” Avery asked with a small smile she turned back to her client. Regular wellness visits always made the vet happy, they were far less stressful than sick visits and allowed her to have time to bond with her patients and their families.
Avery had just finished up guest lecturing for an animal biology class on campus when she spotted a familiar face headed across the quad in her direction. “Beau! Hey! Nice to see you.” The vet smiled, falling into step with the professor for a moment. “I guess I should’ve figured we might run into each other given that you teach here. Dr Hopper brought me in for a guest lecture in his intro animal bio class. Feels a little strange setting foot back on a college campus after so long.” She noted with a small chuckle. Avery hadn’t been to a university really since graduating from Cornell, and certainly not an actual lecture hall. “How are you and your menagerie doing?”
Avery had always loved vintage things, particularly jewlery and random knick knacks so it was uncommon to see the veterinarian stopping by Fallbrook’s local thrift store to merely wander around and see what she could potentially find. On this particular trip to Thirftmania, she’d acquired a table lamp and was continuing to poke around while holding onto it carefully. Between her focus on keeping the lamp cradled in her arms and looking around she accidentally bumped into Leah. “Oh! Leah, gosh I’m sorry I didn’t see you there. Are you alright?”
