Trystan x Sofia

Trystan, the oldest and the heir to the Drakovian throne, is pressured into finding a partner and settling down. But Trystan, the playboy prince, is not very eager for that plan. And because of his stubbornness, the king and queen decides to put the matter in their own hands. Trystan of course decides to try to sabotage their attempts, and even manages to stop a few engagements before they happen.

Sofia on the other hand, is from a rather small noble family which has fallen into a bit of misfortune. Her parents died when she was really young, and she ended up in the care of her uncle. He loved and raised her as his own, but as much as he wished for her to just live her life, the circumstances would want it otherwise. To make sure she had a future, he reluctantly accepted the offer of arranged marriage, much to Sofia's dismay.

There was a dinner party planned for the two families to introduce the two to each other. But right after the arrival of her and her uncle, Sofia snuck away into the garden, trying to find a way to get out of the whole thing and figure out a way to save her family at the same time.

At the same time, Trystan had made his way into the garden as well, to get some air before the whole spectacle. And that's where he stumbled upon Sofia.

Neither of the two knew who the other was at the time, and the whole time, Sofia just tried to make him leave so she could go back to planning. Trystan on the other hand, was quite intrigued by this stranger in the garden.

Eventually they had to make their way inside to join the others for dinner, separating for a little while before they went to eat. And as they found their seats, their eyes connected and while Sofia could only think "oh no", Trystan would think "this will be interesting" with a small grin.

Eli x Avery

This is still set in the post-apolyptic world. It's hard to find your "soulmate" when there are so few to choose from and in a way, the world has gone backwards when it comes to love and no one really believes in it anymore. Instead, people partner up or are partnered up by convenience. To keep the human race going.

Avery grew up in the tower like in canon, Eli however, grew up in the wild with his family for a while. But as time passed and the number of zombies started to increase, his parents decided to move to the tower to keep their children safe.

As time passed, and Avery and Eli grew, they started to catch the attention of the leaders of the colony, for 2 quite different reasons. Eli because of his talents and skills, while Avery got attention because of her questions. And that was not good.

Brynn wanted to keep Avery safe, so when the leaders started to question things, she pushed for an arranged marriage between Avery and someone that was held in a higher regard by the leaders. And somehow, Avery were chosen for Eli. Of course, neither of the two in question liked the idea and tried to postpone things as long as possible. But then, everything went to hell.

From here, it follows canon a bit more. Avery was still asking questions, and this time she asked the wrong one. Brynn learned about it and set in motion the plan to get her out. And somehow, Eli was pulled along as well.

When do you think your MC first realized she had an attraction to and/or feelings for Eli? What about Eli, when did he have them for her?

I feel this one is almost a given, lol, but who was able to accept those feelings more quickly? We know Eli had reservations about pursuing anything per canon, but did your MC have reservations as well?

Hi! Thank you so much for this ask Elsa ❤️ It's a very good ask, but 1) I haven't really thought about it, and 2) I don't really remember all the details as I haven't had the time to replay yet and it's a while since I last played. So this took a bit longer than I had planned. So I am very sorry about that!

When do you think your MC first realized she had an attraction to and/or feelings for Eli?

This is a hard one. Avery didn't have the best impression of Eli at first, with him at first saving them from zombies and then threatening to kill them. Of course, like the good girl she is, she did try to get to know him better anyway as he took them in and they kind of were stuck with each other for a bit. Both thought that would be it, and that after a couple days they would say their goodbyes and never see each other again. That obviously didn't happen.

Since then, Avery tried to get to know this strange man better, and slowly but surely she manages to break through his walls, and what she saw intrigued her.

She wouldn't say it was quick, but before she could even put a name to it, she had started to fall for him.

Exactly when she realized that she had feelings for him is a hard question, because it happened so gradually. She flirted with him without thinking, looked at him a bit too long, just all of that. And one day it just "Damn, I really like him". I can say though, that it happened a little bit before Eli realized it.

What about Eli?

This is even harder 😆 For Eli, he also lost everyone, but as you know he had to end them himself. We can only imagine how he felt and I hc he got more guarded to avoid feeling like that ever again. "Luckily" he lived alone and didn't have anyone close by, so it was easy to just get into a routine and he never had to worry about losing anyone again.

But then came the group from the Tower. He thought they would be gone as soon as Brynn got on her feet, but that option was thrown out of the window due to obvious reasons and he joined them. When you don't have anywhere else to go, it's better to join a group where they can keep each other safe rather than going around alone.

He managed to keep his walls up for most of them, but Avery was hard to ignore. She just made him feel comfortable around her in a way.

I hc that Eli started to fall for her early on, but like Ethan, he avoided thinking about it and pushed it to the back of his mind. At least until their first kiss, that's when he just "Fuck, I like this girl" and then it came in full force after he attacked her when he was bitten.

Who was able to accept those feelings more quickly?

Definitely Avery 😆

Did your MC have reservations?

Not really. Maybe a bit in the beginning, seeing as he turned his crossbow at them and just didn't even try to het to know them, but she grew to just accept that that's how he was, and that she needed to give him the time he needed.

(Family and a bit more backstory under the cut)

Parents: Robert and Michael Wright

Robert and Michael met during college, they were friends at first, neither understanding their sexuality at the time. It was about a year after their meeting that it finally hit them and they decided to jump into it and see what their relationship could lead to.

They were together ever since then and got a home together after graduation. The two of them didn't really think of kids at first, just wanting to enjoy their life and build up their careers as they still were quite young.

A few years later, they started to think about expanding their family and looked into adoption. However, the process was long and complicated, and they just decided to wait until they were sure that was what they wanted. Instead they focused on being amazing uncles to their nieces and nephews. Among them Brynn and Avery.

However, not long after that, Michael's brother and his wife (Avery and Brynn's parents) got into a car accident and didn't survive. Leaving the girls alone. Robert and Michael went back and forth for a short while, but decided to take the two girls in, and they didn't regret it for a second.

They didn't want to replace their parents completely however, and made sure to keep their memories alive, telling them stories and showing them pictures so they would know where they came from. But seeing as they were really small when it happened, the girls did eventually start to call them Dad and Papa.

Sibling: Brynn Wright

Though they weren't the most open towards each other, Avery and Brynn still had a very close relationship.

Brynn was often seen as overprotective of her younger sister, and honestly for a good reason. She was 5 when their biological parents died and 9 when Dad and Papa died, and she could remember what it was like and how it felt both times. She didn't want her sister to go through the same stuff, while she also didn't want to lose the only one she had left of her family (though in the world they lived in, it was next to impossible)

As Avery got older, Brynn learned to let go a little, but wanted her sister to be as prepared as possible for when she eventually decided to go out. Which is why she went behind her back and made her go to pest control.

Avery wasn't very happy with that decision, and was angry for a short while, but she eventually forgave her and tried to understand her sister's side of things.

Personality: Kind, diplomatic, optimistic, impulsive

Interests/hobbies:

Avery has always had a hard time just sitting still, and living in the tower for so long without being able to do a lot of stuff didn't really help. To keep her mind occupied, Brynn made her do whatever she could think of to keep her mind busy so she wouldn't run around causing trouble. Arts and crafts, reading, a small toy (very rare, but it happened a few times) was the things that usually worked the best.

As she grew older, Avery really enjoyed doing things with her hands and often did so without even thinking, and seeing as she basically always had a knife on her, she used that most of the time when she was bored. Sometimes just playing with it, other times using it to make something out of whatever she had on hand. She got some pretty good wood samples from Troy a couple of times when she started getting a bit better at her woodwork, which she used to make small figurines out of (sadly they were all left in the Tower when they ran away). And she kept doing it later in Olympus.

She also repairs clothes and helps with the farming at the colony and feels peaceful while doing it.

(Though her favorite past time is probably practicing with her crossbow or self defense with Eli)

Random facts:

She had a "pet" rock filled with moss when she was little, one day it disappeared and till this day she still doesn't know what happened to it

She has a birthmark formed like a small heart behind her ear, usually hidden from view

She is actually pretty terrible at cooking, and is barely allowed to help prepare it

Celia though of him as an asshole, and that's it honestly, lmao.

Ethan just thought she was just another intern, however there was something about her that intrigued him (not that he would show it of course)

Bot really. They are confident in their relationship. But maybe a bit in the beginning when they didn't really know what they were and they saw the other with someone that (they thought) would probably fit them better.

🐕 Who is the most affectionate? 

Their love language is touch, but they keep it private. At work, no one. There they try to keep it professional or out of sight.

💐 Is one more protective than the other? 

Maybe Ethan, but he tries to keep himself in check because he knows Celia can hold her own. He will stand up for her if he needs to though (and vice versa)

🌈 What were their first impressions of each other?

Seeing as Eli saved the group and then threatened to kill them right afterwards at their first meeting, I would say Avery's first impression was confusion. She didn't really know what to think of the guy, but after he took them in, allowing them to help Brynn, her image of him got better

Eli just saw them all as strangers and wanted them away as soon as possible, lmao. And it didn't get much better during their stay in his cabin. However, after the attack and after Avery ran back in to save the papers, he got curious about her. Though he certainly never expected he would fall for her.

🥀 Do they both get jealous? 

Not really. At least on Avery's part. I could see Eli being a little jealous of her friendships though. Not that he would say he was and he wouldn't show it, but it was a little like, he had no one for years, and even though she lost her family as well, she still had her friends. But it doesn't last that long.

🐕 Who is the most affectionate? 

Avery. She can show affection everywhere at any time (she makes sure he's comfortable though). Eli is more affectionate when they are alone.

Lmao, Eli! But honestly, Avery has a bit of a habit of getting in trouble, who can blame him for wanting to try to keep her safe. At least a little bit.

This is a fun ask, because I can totally see Avery doing it but just being met with a short, no-nonsense answer from Eli 😂

😊 Where do they want to go on vacation? 

I imagine these two as pretty adventurous, so a city vacation wouldn't be on the top of their list. They would want to go somewhere where they could explore, see other culture, discover something new. Outside the normal vacation spots.

☔️ How do they make up after a fight? 

Avery is a talk it out kind of person, but Eli is a bit more reserved, so they would have to find a bit of a middle ground.

I can see them kind of taking some time alone to just breath, calm down and think. When they are ready they would just sit down by each other. Say their apologies and cuddle up a little. Holding hands, leaning on each other, a small kiss. Just something small to show that they are alright.
