Bonus: they’re eventually put on ‘give them the easiest to put up decorations’ duty because of how difficult it is for them to use their hands thanks to them being more raptor than human

Enigma, Avi, Artemis, Didge, Danielle, and Maddie Halloween headcanon

97% of the time they don’t really bother with costumes. They just go as themselves because this is the one day of the year where no one will blink at their mutations.

Avi’s flock

Avi has a flock of 20 birds of various species. Oddly enough despite it being a mix of birds of prey and their prey the predatory birds don’t harm the other members of the flock and have been known to protect them from birds, and other predators, that aren’t members of the flock.

Sascha the white-tailed eagle, her first and oldest member of the flock. Sascha joined the flock shortly before Artemis found her. Though he’s getting up there in years he’s still very active and works hard to keep Avi and the school safe. When not patrolling the grounds or hunting he’s usually found on her shoulder.

Jessie, James, Myrtle, John, Jason, Lyla, and Leena the American Tree Sparrows. They are the descendants of the first birds that joined the flock after she arrived in New York. They are tame, extremely friendly, and are known to greet mansion residents, especially those who seem to be rather miserable.

Maria, Derek, Lisa, Marion, Luke, Libby, Lizzy the Dark-eyed Juncos

Hedwig the Northern Saw-whet Owl, the most recent addition to the flock Hedwig is still nervous about the others but is adjusting.

Mike the Peregrine Falcon, rather like Sascha he tends to stick around Avi though he does also seem to be rather attached to Siren as well.

Bobby, Chester, Mason the Collered Doves they joined the flock shortly before Hedwig did and seem to be the most mellow of the bunch. They tend to act as scouts

collects rocks: Avi, they’re too pretty for her to resist

takes pictures of the other while they’re asleep: Avi

gets drunk and breaks shit: Siren

can’t swim: Avi

remembers to feed the fish: They don’t keep fish. The birds tend to try to eat them if they do.

puts up Christmas decorations in November: Neither

sends inappropriate texts and SnapChats while the other is in a meeting: Siren.

makes Sims just to drown them in the pool: Neither. 

brings the other coffee at work: both

takes gym locker room selfies: Neither

signs them up for tennis lessons and a salsa-making class: Tennis lessons no, Salsa making class Siren

forgets to charge the other’s iPad and leaves it dead on the coffee table: Siren though sometimes it’s more ‘forgetting’ than actually forgetting.

Avi and Siren headcanon

To convince Charles to organize a school theater club Avi and Siren staged musical numbers in the weirdest places with the most out of place songs. He finally caved at "take me or leave me" while he was trying to teach mutant ethics.
