YES IM USING THIS AS A JUMPING OFF POINT TO TALK ABOUT HOW PEOPLE MISINTERPRET THE LAST SCENE WUTH JARETH AND SARAH.
So JARETH is at the end of his ropes here, he knows Sarah has him beat- but he knows that SARAH doesn’t know this. So he is all “just love me, worship me, do as I say and I will be your slave”
And people try to use this fucking line for their fucking dark romances and “oh I’m not better if I was Sarah I’d fold” and NO YOU ARE MISUNDERSTANDING IT. HES PRESENTING A CONTRADICTION. HOW CAN HE BE A SLAVE WHEN HES ASKING SARAH TO DO AS HE SAYS.
So WHEN SARAH REALIZES HE HAS NO POWER, ITS HER TAKING HER OWN POWER BACK AND DESTROYING JARETH WITH IT!!!
