#QOTD How often do you rearrange your bookshelf? Are the books kept based on color / height / author? 📚 📚 I don't think I've ever rearranged my bookshelf. The only thing I've done is to move around the books so as to make space for new ones. Since I'm on a break from work and suddenly have lots of time, I think a bookshelf rearrangement is due. I have always kept my books based on height and author. Now I'm thinking whether I should make a change and try keeping them based on color. #QOTD What was your last book purchase? How many books did you buy? 📚 📚 I have wanted to read Shatter Me series for so long. When the final book came out few months back, I decided that I am going to get my hands on them. But unfortunately Book Depository was missing 1 or 2 books in the series and I didn't want to buy unless all of them were available. After this, all the covid issue started and there were canceled and delayed shipments. Last week I just decided to go ahead with my purchase no matter what. And voila! All the books were available. #QOTD What was your worst read this year? 📚 📚 First off, let me clarify that the book in the picture was not my worst read. This was my favorite book of the year. I figured I would post my favorite book's picture here instead of the book that I didn't like. 📚 📚 My worst read was The Girl With A Clock For Heart by Peter Swanson. The book was so bad that I didn't even bother to take a photo of it. Seriously, I couldn't even figure out why the book had such a title. The story made absolutely no sense to me. But I did finish the book. I had three or four 5 star reads before this book. Fiction or Non fiction? Which do you prefer? 📚 📚 I always prefer fiction. It is very rare that I read non fiction. But this book Every Second Counts is something that I bought just by reading the blurb. And oh boy it was such a great read. I am so glad that I made the decision to buy this. 📚 📚 The book is about the extraordinary race between 4 surgeons to become the first person to transplant a heart in human history. The author has done such extensive research to bring us even the minute details. But more importantly, the book is written is so well that we feel the joy, disappointment and all the emotions that these surgeons go through as our own. The book kept me hooked and craving for more. I normally don't like non fiction and I don't like medicine but I loved this book. I would go as far as to say this book is a loooot better than many fiction books that I have read. Now that says a lot about the book. You should definitely give this book a go. 📚 📚 I read this book around 10 years back and haven't had a chance to reread it. But I still remember the awe I felt when I read it. I will leave you guys with something that I still remember from the book even after all these years. 📚 📚 We all know who went to the moon first or the north pole or the south pole first or who conquered Mt. Everest first. But how many of us know who did it second? Do we even care who the second person was? Whether it was pure fate that they came second and not first?
