How do you feel about Avogadro's line towards Richtofen in Alpha Omega stating: "Richtofen, you experienced the Aether Pyramid. You are the only one who understands."? I'd love to hear your thoughts on what this implies, especially towards Ultimis crew's experiences during captivity and what they might have done to them!!

💫 So, as I was listening to Avogadro’s lines, the thing I noticed immediately is that he’s trying to break down the boys one at a time with their insecurities. He brings Dempsey’s patriotism and Takeo’s loyalty and trust into question, he tells Primis Richtofen that he’s running out of time and that he wasted his potential, he even taunts Nikolai with his drinking and ex wives or his leadership failing. He is touched by the Aether, he knows all, so it’s safe to say that these things he digs at are truly the internal fears and insecurities of the boys. But with Ultimis Richtofen, he takes a different approach. ✨

✨ The only thing he really pries at is fear, and he only does this once. Every other line is questioning why he (Richtofen) didn’t ascend, or playing to his inhumanity by putting them on the same level.

“They called you insane, Edward. They said the same of me. But, they’re only human.” - Avogadro, Alpha Omega.

✨ To be quite honest, I don’t think the line in your question has anything to do with the ultimis crew’s torture at all, I think this line was an honest attempt to appeal to Ultimis Richtofen’s past experience with the Aether to try and get him on his side. It’s such a small thing but I find it so fascinating that Ultimis Richtofen is the only one who he tries to appeal to in this way without insults (minus the one.) Of course, the only other person he tries to do this to is Dempsey, but he still digs into Ultimis and Primis Dempsey a LOT before he takes the ‘appeal’ approach. He is ruthless to them all aside from the one man who MIGHT be tempted to switch sides again if given a good enough reason.

✨ Avogadro is a being of immense power, he is above humanity and has lost his past self completely. Yet he still tries to turn the boys against each other or shake their confidence instead of hitting hard. That tells me that Avogadro himself is deflecting. He, too, has those deep and crippling insecurities. He knows what it’s like to battle with your own mind, so he tries to inflict his own struggles onto the boys to weaken them. If that is true, his appeals to Ultimis Richtofen actually give him a lot more humanity than he shows- Avogadro Cornelius Pernell is lonely. He has untold power at his fingertips and no one to share it with, no one to connect with, and the one man he feels he can finally do that with is one of the men who kill him.

Yknow at first I pictured Avogadro as a cori but the more I read the more I’m like no no she’s giving Sheltie vibes. Granted I know nothing of dog breed personalities but the vibes seem right. the idea of Megatron having to combs the knots out of her fur with a microscopic (to him) brush *extremely* slowly and carefully to not pull any hair out is so fuckign absurd tho tysm for the image
