That would easily be his experience in Palace of the Dead.It is one thing having a short moment to realize a rage driven Raubahn is about to end your whole career but having an eternity trapped in labyrinth of undead creatures and being hunt down by adventurers over and over again is whole other deal.

Naturally fueled by nothing but spite at first, Teledji Adeledji mostly spent his time thinking how to escape, how to execute revenge and how to destroy everyone! How dared they do this to him!! ... ... ... but it all gradually faded. It didn’t take long for him to realize it was his own fault that he ended where he was and neither his gil nor his influence meant anything now. All the spite turned into despair and eventually acceptance. He was hated and loathed, got what he deserved and there was not a single soul out there who would have spared a kind word for him. If only he could go back and fix all this... make different choices, take different routes!

Once Nymleia smiled upon him and he escaped the wretched Palace of the Dead, he made sure he remind himself not to repeat past missteps even if he was ever so tempted to.
