TW: Animal death, Bloodmoons being Bloodmoons etc...
After the machine was turned off and the two Lord models returned to their true sizes... And we're made to stop fighting with each other... Lord Lunar and his family had to pack up and leave in a hurry... As chaos seized the nearby city.
Sadly his adopted father, Thomas, had to go into the city as he was a police officer and it was an all hands on deck situation.
So his adopted mother took him, Erica and baby Sean to their secluded beach house. Where they intended to wait out the chaos.
Turns out Lord Lunar actually loved the beach...
As worried as he and the rest of his family were, he was able to calm down as he listened to the waves. For the following months his family just stayed there in the beach house. His father came back when he could, but things were tense at best and every police officer in the city needed to be ready to get called in at a moments notice...
What solidified them actually staying where they were was when Thomas tried to stop by their neighborhood and found their house, along with most of the others had been burnt to the ground...
Lunar was actually happy with that development. The only thing that bothered him was that it meant his dad would continue to be away from his family for longer periods of time.
But for the most part, he and his family were safe and everything was peaceful for the next several months. Although over that time, he caught wind of what Lord Eclipse was up to... Namely the new floating island that he created and called his own.
Lunar: (Growls) He's just showing off...
Needless to say, someone was a bit salty about how well his rival was doing...
That saltines only grew when, as things continued to calm down, their family received an invitation to the sky bound city, Solarium. Of course this was done primarily for the human families of the two Lords to reconnect, as they were very good friends.
But of course Lord Eclipse did do it to rub his success in Lunar's face. And when he revealed his dragons to the world it created a cold, irritated knot in Lunar's chest.
Two could play this game...
So during the visit, Lord Lunar snuck into Eclipses lab and he stole a vial that contained some of his Nano-Machines.
Now Lunar is deeply intelligent, just in a different way than Lord Eclipse. He might not have the skill to create things right off the bat like Eclipse could... But he does have the know-how to recode things. It was like he was making a mod for a videogame.
When he and his family returned home to their beachhouse, Lunar immediately set to work on this project like a man possessed. He couldn't be distracted. Several long weeks of exhausting work eventually bore fruit and Lord Lunar grinned widely before rushing out of the garage that he'd turned into his work room with a bucket full of Nano-Machines and the declaration that what he was going to make was gonna make everyone forget all about the idiots stupid floating island...
And he proceeded to dump his Nano-Machines into the ocean...
...and within a few days they had constructed an underwater city...
And just like the floating island before it, when the world was made aware of a new sprawling underwater city, the public became amazed and fascinated by it. Once everything was opened people flocked to live there...
In Moonsea City...
It was a magnificent place, beautiful, clean and full of light. Lunar had even programmed the Nano-Machines, as they constructed the city, to make the buildings ideal for rare pieces of coral to grow. In order to show up Lord Eclipse on his environmental travesty that his floating city technically became...
However, Lord Lunar took similar precautions as Lord Eclipse did. Making sure that their families were not directly associated with him so they wouldn't be harassed. Although Lunar wasn't stupid. He kept his own image out of the public as well, because he likewise didn't want to be bothered... The city was known to have been constructed and owned by a Lord Lunar. Only nobody had ever actually seen him. It added an air of mystery to the mysterious Lunar that ran the city as nobody could claim to have met or seen him...
Nobody knew that a big reason for this would be because Moonsea City contained an arcade that had more games than any other arcade in the world... And Lunar wanted to be free to play them as long as he wanted without being bothered by people who knew who he was...
Still, there was another caveat and it was in regards to his father... Naturally his family wouldn't have to work with the insane amount of money flowing into Lunar's bank account, but his sense of duty would not allow him to simply sit on his hands and do nothing.
So Lunar appointed him as the head of his new police force. As he knew nobody else was as trustworthy and honest as his father was.
His mother was able to reopen her own Behavioral Therapy Practice in the new city. As she too wanted to continue making a difference. Lunar's parents being genuinely nice, kind souls...
But Erica... Oh Erica and Lunar found their own niche. As it was not just the city he wanted to outshine Eclipse with...
You see Lord Lunar had managed to acquire some very specialized equipment. Not just a gene splicer, but also an array of biomechanical construction equipment. Lunar wanted to play mad scientist. Erica wanted to learn how to make different creatures too. Fortunately the equipment had a very helpful AI built into it that was more than capable of turning the Lord and his sisters ideas into physical results and also explaining what was possible vs impossible to the best of its capabilities.
The AI was named Spaniard. For no other reason beyond Lord Lunar thinking it sounded cool.
Still, the brother and sister duo got to work in Lord Lunar's lab and within three months they had their first creation ready to show the residents of the city.
Much like Lord Eclipse before him, Lunar sent out a ping to the denizens of his underwater metropolis. To set their eyes upon the beast he was about to show off.
From the lab that was situated a ways away from the city to hide it from prying eyes, only accessible by a secret passageway concealed in Lord Lunar's home... Heavy metal gates that led out into the sea opened and from this lab emerged a large plesiosaur-looking creature. It was about 50 feet long, had six flippers and was emitting a low, haunting song like that of a whale. It gracefully swam over the great domes of the city, people were taking pictures and clapping, Lunar and Erica high-fived the success of their first creation-
But the awe was immediately replaced with screams as out of nowhere, a massive aquatic Bloodmoon with a twisting crescent shaped scar on its head appeared and attacked the gentle plesiosaur and began to rip into it, filling the water with the animals screams of terror and pain and a cloud of crimson blood.
For a moment everything was eerily still... Before the creatures severed head and neck landed stop one of the domes. While the Bloodmoon dragged the rest of the animal away to feed on the carcass...
What was supposed to be a joyous day of achievement had become a total nightmare...

Sadly Lord Eclipse was dealing with something similar...
His dragon, Empyrion, had managed to tear a section of his wing while going through some basic exercises. So Eclipse had left him home and taken one of his newer dragons out to fly with one of his newly formed squadrons of dragon riders. Seven in total including his own, it was supposed to be routine, standard and nothing special.
Unfortunately as they were flying in formation, a shadow fell over Eclipse and the other riders and before he or anyone else could react...
The Bloodmoon King dove down and crashed into the dragon in the middle. Impaling it immediately with his talons before stabbing it over and over again with his three bladed tails.
The formation initially scattered in confusion, but after a moment they regained themselves. Eclipse being the first and immediately urging his dragon to attack Broken...
That went poorly...
Broken set his one good eye on the Lord model and smiled wickedly, avoiding the dragons burst of flame as electricity danced around his neck before he unleashed his own breath weapon. Lightning... It hit the dragon square in the chest, earning him a scream of utter agony from the now flailing and bleeding out beast.
The remaining riders likewise began trying to attack, but the Bloodmoon King was far more agile, not to mention infinitely more bloodthirsty on top of being a skilled fighter...
He slaughtered nearly all of the dragons and their riders...
The only survivor was the one rider who had moved to where the Lords was trying to control his flailing and dying dragon... Only to have no other choice but to jump onto the other as Broken looped back around and tore into it. Severing its head and gripping onto the headless corpse.
The Bloodmoon King looked onto the remaining dragon and it's completely stunned riders. And he began to laugh. A cold, malicious sound... Before he turned and flew off. The whole thing nothing but a cruel and enjoyable game to him that came with the bonus of a hefty meal.
He was about to become a constant problem for Lord Eclipse to deal with...

Lord Lunar didn't take well to his first creation being slaughtered in front of his entire city well. After he calmed Erica down and managed to compose himself, he knew what he was going to do next...
The next beast took the remainder of the year to make completely...

It was when Solarium had moved to the seaside location on its usual traveling route, that Lord Eclipse had taken Empyrion out to fly over the sea. Due to reasons, he wanted to go for a flight and clear his head...
His attempts at flirting with Gaia were not going well...
He was lost in his thoughts when he suddenly noticed Lord Lunar keeping up with him sitting on what looked like motorcycle-styled seat and holding onto handlebars while something collosal and FAST was just under the surface of the water.
Eclipse banked hard to the side as something rose up out of the ocean... Something so massive that only a small portion of it was visible and it's size was still practically inconceivable.
It was a Gargantuan Leviathan from Subnautica...
Only it was clearly biomechanical rather than organic. No doubt if it was strictly organic it would need eat half of the oceans wildlife to sustain itself. Not to mention it was clearly assembled in sections because there would have been no way to create this thing all at once either.
Lord Eclipse stared for a moment before quickly regaining himself...
Eclipse: You called my dragons rip offs and yet you BLATANTLY ripped off a videogame you worm!
Lunar: So what! Mines cooler than yours will ever be!
Aaaaaand cue these two landing on a small rocky patch of land and starting a fist fight. While their great beasts just watched awkwardly...

Sadly it didn't take much longer before Lunar started to receive negative publicity when his creations, often gigantic undersea animals, began to escape and prowl the open oceans. With one of the most frightening being El Gran Maja... He just stares at everyone silently from the dark depths, unmoving and being infinitely creepy. Although giant Bloop whales were harmless, but frequently bumped into cargo ships or worse yet cruise ships as they lazily swam by.
Lord Lunar earned himself the title of Father of Sea Monsters...
While Lord Eclipse was the Father of Dragons...

Ironically in spite of everything, the two Lords have each other on speed dial...
Eclipse could video call Lunar from either his dragon sitting room or his lab. While likewise Lunar would call from his lab. Their reasons for doing so is simple, they like to trash talk each other while they work.
And another thing...

Lord Lunar is at home with his family, while likewise Lord Eclipse is out and not anywhere near his home...
From the depths, Lord Lunars great beast, Titanus, pokes his head through the Moonpool in Lunar's lab. The only part of his body that could actually fit in the entire building. He focuses on the huge monitor in the room and uses one of his head tendrils to carefully poke a button to start a video call...
Empyrion and Minnow pick up...
What follows next is nothing but growls, chuffs and screeching sounds as the beasts converse.
Titanus: (Hey guys what's up?)
Empyrion: (Hello Titanus.)
Minnow: (Hi Titan! How's everything under the sea?)
Titanus: (Eh, pretty good. Ate a few blue whales, napped near some underwater vents. Oh, I did see the skull and bones of an old god... Looks like it got eaten by a bigger and meaner old god. But other than that, things have been pretty good. How about you guys?)
Minnow: (I stayed in the air for three hours at a time! Personal best! Soon I will be able to keep up with big bro.)
Titanus: (Congrats! How about you Empire?)
Empyrion: (Things have been well. Although... Eclipse, sadly... His mating behavior is truly depressingly bad. The female is not even aware that he's attempting to flirt.)
Titanus: ....(Dang)....

Well that finishes up the Dueling Lords section of Abandonment World. I'm sorry that this wasn't as long or as detailed as some of the other parts. I am trying to get parts written out faster. Still I hope y'all enjoyed this.
The next part of Abandonment World that I am going to start delves into the 7 Bloodmoon Tribes and what they're like. Hope that will be enjoyable :)
So was it only the bloodmoons and humans under Brokens command that transformed?

The fun thing that will be revealed in coming parts is that Broken massively overpowered the spell he used. For the sake of still keeping some things under wraps, I will say that it wasn't just the Bloodmoons under him that gained a new Form, that was given to every Bloodmoon in his entire world.
But due to the overload of the spell, it even affected KC's Bloodbeans too.
So all Bloodmoons now possess a Nightmare Form, a powerful transformation that varies among every Bloodbean. They can freely enter this form whenever they want. It's a MAJOR power up.
As for the humans... Well, got a say firstly that it's rare for a Bloodmoon to bond deeply with a human. The instances of it happening are almost entirely confined to the 7 tribes. So all of those humans have guaranteeingly changed. But the changes vary between the different tribes. I think that was what Broken was shooting for, but again, he overpowered that spell. So it wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility that these traits could be gained by a human with that deep connection to a Bloodmoon...
Even after Brokens spell being cast, children or teens who are taken into the tribes by a Bloodmoon will also gain these traits after enough of a bond develops between them.
Currently the fastest record of the change is 3 days...
