Team wandered back to the skycar and Garrus was all “I don’t want to talk about this” and Shepard basically went “tough, we are anyway” and immediately started talking about it.

Shepard: I know it didn’t go the way you planned, but I think it’s for the best.

Garrus: I’m not so sure...

At this point Darrian had to resist the strong urge to knock his head against the skycar.

(I do wonder why Shepard never plays the there’s-civilians-all-over-the-place-and-killing-this-guy-in-front-of-them-would-not-be-good card; I assume the answer is “it’d make the quest too complicated”).

Garrus: It’s so much easier to see the world in black-and-white.

Garrus: Gray...I don’t know what to do with gray.

Probably a good thing he’s not a Spectre.

Shepard: Trust your instincts.

(The bit after Thessia where Shepard’s all “Liara, my advice is to do work” reminds me of this; Shepard throwing out advice based on what usually works).

Garrus is not particularly confident in Darrian’s trust-your-instincts-I-do-it-all-the-time-and-it-works-out-great-for-me stance.

Garrus: My instincts are what got me into this mess.

Shepard: Don’t be too hard on yourself.
