I am a 25 year old adult, why am I thinking of Awana again?

It kinda sucks because I have some actually good memories from my awana days, but :/

I hate that I had to spend so much of my childhood in a fucking church. Nowadays I'm the queer weirdo that the church folks warn their children about, but I'm so much happier with myself now than I was then.

Some churches have a youth group called AWANA (which stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) and this is the key verse of this club, and the verse that gave AWANA its name. The verse talks about the importance of studying God's Word.🤍
