Sweater Weather

Summary: Its winter and Billy lets you borrow his sweater.

You love walking to school in the winter. You love the feeling of your feet on the cold snow and the feeling of the delicate snowflakes falling on your head.

You stopped in the middle of the forest and looked up and began to twirl around letting the snow fall on you. You fell to the ground and sat to admire the snow, you touched the snow with your gloved hands but still you could feel the coldness of it.

Your hands being a little sweaty you took off your gloves and shoved them in your pocket. You got up and began to walk again. Continue to admiring the snow you looked up and you weren't looking at your surroundings when you bumped into someone.

"Sorry." You turned around and gulped when you realized you bumped into Billy. Billy made you nervous, you had seen how aggressive he gets when someone get him angry. But the fact that you had a crush on him made those butterflies in your stomach go crazy just making you feel a tad nauseous.

You never dared told anyone about your secret crush. Especially Josie because even though she had never formally called dibs on him you could tell her obvious crush on him.

Instead of getting angry or aggressive, he smiled at you. "Y/N it's nice bumping into you." He looked at you you stood still in your nervous state.

"It's nice bumping into you too Billy." You said as you paced pass him quickly.

Billy had a crush on you too but he never told you because he felt like you hated him by the way you always tried to avoid him, like right now.

"Y/N." Billy caught up to you. "Would it be ok if we walked together?" He asked. You froze you could say no and he would probably think you hate him and never talk to you again. Also if you said yes Josie could be mad at you but Josie wasn’t that a close a friend but you didn’t want to get on her bad side either.

"I'll take your silence as a yes." Billy said as you continue to walk Billy next to you.

"Don't you just love the winter." You asked as you walked you continued to admire the white fields and the trees covered in white.

"I like it just fine." Billy said. "My favorite thing about winter the most is keeping others warm." He smirked at you.

"Like you." He grabbed your hand. You jumped a little, goosebumps appeared on your arm. "Your hand is cold." Billy looked at you.

"I didn't realize." You say as you pulled your hand away and grabbed your gloves and put them back on.

You both made it to the entrance of your school he opened the door for you and you thanked him. You went to go hang your coat but when you took it off the room still felt cold so you decided to leave it on.

"Before you take your seats I would like you all to know our fireplace has no wood at the moment so if you all want to get your hanged coats and put them on do it now." Mr. Phillips said.

During class they kept whispering and all the girls looked at you. Dirty looks. You shrugged it off and tried to focus on the lesson

During lunch you sat with the rest of the girls. You babbled to Diana about the snow, the white fields, and all she listen to your vivid description of how you were happy winter was here.

"Well what are we doing inside?" Josie asked a grinned appeared on her face. "We should go outside and admire the beautiful winter." Josie said. "But Josie it's cold." Ruby complained. Josie elbowed her lightly.

You all walked outside towards the creek. "Your right Y/N it is beautiful." Josie smirked the others girls and you were slightly confused because Josie never wanted to go outside so why today?

You stopped watching the creek and turned around. "What are you up to Josie?" You asked. All the girls were wondering it and they were sure glad you asked. "Nothing Y/N but what are you up too." Josie spat.

"What do you mean Josie." You crossed your arms. "I mean you and Billy is something going on?" Josie asked she raised an eyebrow. You stood quiet. "Come on Y/n we are your best friends we want to know why you and Billy were walking together?" Josie said.

All the boys were watching from a far. Huddled all held their breaths Josie was mad and when Josie was mad something had always happened.

"Nothing there is nothing between me and Billy." You said. Billy looked down a little hurt that you didn't see something between you guys.

"Really there is nothing?" Josie raised her voice. "I'm telling the truth there is nothing." You stated. "I don't believe you Y/N." Josie walked closer to you. You backed up but you accidentally tripped and fell on the creek the small iced that was formed broke causing your thick coat to get wet.

All the boys laughed. "Your pathetic." Josie spat. Diana quickly helped you up. "Diana come on." Ruby said and Diana followed Josie back inside.

Billy didn't laugh he ran towards you. "Are you ok Y/N?" Billy asked. "Yeah I'm fine." You said. "Its just water." You said. "Your bleeding." Billy grabbed your hand. You must have cut it out the ice or something you didn't even noticed.

"It doesn't even hurt." You pulled your hand away. Your jacket was completely soaked so you took it off. You felt the cold air hit your back and you began shivering.

"It's cold Y/N here borrow my coat." Billy took off his and held it up. "It's fine Billy. I'm not cold" You pushed the coat towards him.

"Y/N your shivering just wear it I insist." Billy said as he went behind you and began to place your arm inside the coat. Billy put the coat on you. "Thank you Billy." You chuckled. "It's my favorite thing about winter." He smirked. He leaned in closer and Josie and the girls who were watching from the window gasped they thought he was going to kiss you.

Only he didn't he whispered, "Keeping you warm it's my favorite thing about winter." You shivered not from the cold but from the goosebumps that had formed on your spine. The bell rang causing him to walk away.

You walked into the class as well. "What did he say to you?" Diana asked, the other girls wanted to know as well. "He just threatened me he told me I would be in trouble if I ruined his coat." You lied you didn't want more problems with Josie or the group.

You sat and during class Billy just stared at you thinking how beautiful you looked in his coat.

When school ended you walked up to Billy. You started to take off the coat but Billy opened his mouth. "No Y/N don't take it off let me walk you home." Billy said as he grabbed your hand. You looked around the room everyone was gone including all the girls.

"Sure." You smiled. You both walked out. "How many times can I thank you Billy." You said as you got closer to your house you began to take off his coat.

"You don't really need to thank me Y/N I do it because I like you." Billy blurted cursing himself on the inside for saying that. He handed you your coat he carried it the whole walk to your house. You blushed.

"Really? I like you too." You look down at your feet.

Billy's face lit up. "You do?" You nodded still looking down from nervousness.

"You know there is a way you can thank me." Billy smirked. He lifted up your chin with his finger and he looked at you into your eyes.

He leaned in closer to you, this time he wasn't whispering to you. This time he placed his lips on yours. You gasped a little before you gave in to the kiss.

He slowly disconnected your lips. "Is it ok if I pick you up tomorrow and I walk you to school?" Billy asked.

"Sure I would like that." You smiled.
