This was the city where people generally didn’t care, but everyone felt the energy that this city generated, and through that energy, they felt how much alive they were, how they were part of this massive network of talents and souls, all converged in one place that never slept with the population of nearly 8.6 million. Here, things were both possible and impossible all at once, like a paradox that stood on the borderline between looking like a parasite and a butterfly to this dream-like, but also raw, city, with love and hurt all coexisting to a point that one forgot the usual distinctions between happiness and sadness, wholesomeness and loneliness.

The Nature, the tall grass and barleys next to the fat stack of hays and cornfields, filled with sunflowers on the hill, and artificial pathways we’ve made, crickets cry out loud in response to our despair, to assure us. But we, in return, resort to our first instinct, the fear itself, and profess ourselves to violence, to this vindictive conquering side of humanity, veni, vidi, vici. There, Original Sin seemingly dooming us from the beginning, we walk and walk until we momentarily forget.

Well I just wish you were here beside me is all. We could curl up and read to each other. Or talk about just about everything, or perhaps make sweet romantic love and forget about the world. Just have a late evening where nothing but the syncopation of our thoughts, emotions, touch, and heartbeats matter

My father told me a quote he heard the other day and it really spoke to me. “Live your life to fullest until you find yourself absolutely amazed and inspired by what you have achieved. Never stop, never give up, until you reach that point.” I am going to add to this beautiful quote that you should not stop until you are absolutely in love with what you have accomplished, whether it is your career or your family because you deserve a fan such as yourself.
