Hello! You're such a cutie and your cosplay is so good! So are your themes.. and just.. everything.. I am so envious. Can I ask how you had the motivation to study html & css? Did you study it by yourself (self taught), study online or at a school? I have a textbook in HTML and CSS that I got last year but I am lacking the motivation to set down and teach myself, any advice or anything would be awesome. xx have a lovely morning/evening/night!
Hi there! Thank you so much! I’m happy that you enjoy my themes and cosplays haha!
The majority it was self-taught. I’ve been into web design since I was twelve and kind of kept going from there. I admit that I am now taking classes for HTML/CSS since web design is what I’m currently majoring in… and they have helped me fine tune my coding and learn new things.
I understand the feeling of wanting to learn something new and not having the motivation to sit down and start (I’m learning structured query language this semester and I am terrified). Try to take it a little bit at a time. It would be easier to practice/learn small parts at a time compared to trying to take on a big chunk of code all at once. It’s great that you already have a textbook for it.That is going to be a great resource for you to look back on.
Another great resource is w3schools. This helped me out so much when I was learning to code. They offer free tutorials for both HTML and CSS. Don’t be dissuaded by the large number of tutorials though. They’re great because each section is brief and easy to understand. One more fun way to learn is to take apart and edit an existing code to see how everything works (for educational purposes of course, since you want to learn to make your own codes).
I hope this helps! Learning a new skill can seem intimidating, but you can do it! Feel free to message me anytime if you have any questions about HTML/CSS. And have fun!
