So, this is kind of late, and repetitive but this is the better of the 2 or 3 reviews or discussions I’ve tried to start related to the Awkward series/season finale (still tbd...which is all kinds of annoying).

Awkward Series/Season Finale
The fact that it's still up in the air if awkward will get a 6th season is nuts. I mean MTV should know by now what it's fall lineup will be. That's 3-4 months away. Recording should have already begun if it were going to happen so my immediate reaction is its over and so my review of the finale is based on the above. How the hell do you close a series with this many cliffhangers? Jenna and Matty know they're meant to be together in like 2-3 episodes but only say it in the last 10 seconds...and they aren't going to be together because nothing has changed, bad timing, bad communication, but they never stop loving each other. Did I miss something or dos Jenna just cheat on the man she's living with and kissed 10 seconds before she kissed Matty? Like wtf. I know it's what I wanted but not like this. Not with Jenna always just going with the flow, never actually figuring out what she wants and fighting for it. Matty has fought for her time and time again but she never fights for him. Their relationship has come to be more one-sided than it should have been. The writers messed that part up. Now onto the other parts that I'll never have an answer to...Jake. Is he going to college Bc he never applied. Is he getting a job in NYC, doing what? So Sadie and Jake and Tamara will all go back to NYC in the fall? But what about Tamara? She didn't pay off all her debt. Is she going back or not? Couldn't we have at least gotten a glimpse of where they go from this moment of happy hugs? That's not closure! That's just this one moment that they made end on a happy note. The entire story is still hanging. Is Sergio going to NYC with them? What is Matty going to do with everyone he knows on the east coast? What does he want to do with his life? Is he going to try soccer again? Like seriously wtf! As far as finales go, I totally get that if this were a season finale we could be heading to some interesting places but as this is most likely the series finale I just have to pretend that everyone is happy for the rest of their lives and Matty and Jenna don't fall in love with other people...great...that seems super likely.
