You act as if my whole life so far hasn’t been one great awkward stage. But I digress.
I’ve always been enthralled by the magical creatures of Xadia. Sunfire dragons, adoraburrs, and mistmounts always caught my attention. My brother thought this was quite uncool and often talked down to me about it. He was so persuasive that I began to feel ashamed of my love of Xadian creatures. He also took this opportunity to convince me that unicorns were, in fact, not real. I’d heard tales of them. I’d seen other majestic steeds. The evidence and the tales for unicorns were there, but I was too trusting. If my brother said it was true, then it was true.
Imagine my surprise when I learned he was pulling my horn. Yep, I’m still ashamed of this one.

How Awkward Can One Person Really Be?
My awkward stage was exponentially longer than anyone else I've ever met.
My first day of freshman year of high school marked the first day at a brand new school district. Growing up, I always embraced change and fresh starts because I felt as though it allowed me to press the reset button. Like little 11 year olds on YouTube crafting perfect smokey eyes with their naked pallets and understand how to match their foundation...like no! You go trough the too pale/orange foundation stage, the racoons eye stage, the i did these brows myself stage! Earn your scars! Earn your teenage life badge!
