Draco graduates. And he enters work in the ministry under his father. And it’s…fine. It is. But whatever it is he’s working with, it’s not interesting. It’s dreadfully boring.

And then…

He wasn’t allowed to learn about muggles in school, but he never cared to anyway. Muggles were dumb and meaningless. Why would anyone be interested?

But he is.

His father can’t know, of course, but when he’s not busy, Draco sneaks around the muggle artifacts and the areas of the ministry dealing with them. And for once in the year since he left Hogwarts, he’s actually interested. He’s actually excited to learn about something, even in secret.

Until someone discovers him.

Arthur Weasley.

“I would never work for a Weasley,” Draco tells him, of course. Arthur arches an eyebrow.

A few hours later, he marches through the door of the Burrow and calls, “Molly! We’ve got another one!” while dragging Draco inside by the back of his collar.
