pushes me onto the bed and gets on top just to have his big fat chain hit me in face and knock me out
that awkward moment when you had pretty solid assumptions about encanto from like two songs you watched beforehand but they were wrong so you’re sitting there with the actual plot like 👁👄👁
dedicated to past me watching “we dont talk about bruno” and thinking bruno didn’t actually have a gift and he was just pointing out obvious things/making observations/remarks and/or ill timed jokes (for pepa’s wedding and i was right so hah) that unfortunately kept being way too accurate/causing the events because the people kept thinking about them.
whenever that “this is a story of a love affair between a country and a game” commerical about hockey comes on while im watching baseball im just like 😶😰

Nenevia was just a humble shopkeeper. They didn’t pry into customer’s business, they were kind and considerate and provided the highest level of care and support they could. They were attentive to the needs of their customers, and prided themselves on being not only a good leathercrafter, but a generally skilled craftsperson in general.
Nenevia was not, however, trained in domestic disputes.
At least, they hoped this was domestic dispute and not one of the famed battles the mage of riverside was said to engage in for sheer whims. They knew the tales, of course. She as a witch with a hair trigger, who picked fights and stole children and ran about the countryside in a mortar and pestle. They heard a great many things about her, including that she ate the bones of those she disliked.
They also heard a great many things about the silversmith. They heard that he was a star killer, a constellation consumer. A black hole in the making who delighted in the fires of the forge like some southern volcano god. They heard that he was consort to the moon, to the sun, to the shadows themselves. They heard a great many things about the silversmith before them. The most tangible, of course, was that he made wonderful silver-craft (And this nenevia could attest to, as they owned two of his necklaces and loved them dearly).
Watching these two creatures face off in their store was… nerve-wracking to say the least, especially since the Mage of Riverside was idly playing with a riding crop and eyeing the silversmith with a bemused sort of predatory gaze. Never had Nenevia seen Sterling anything less than pleasantly cheerful. Sometimes pleasantly flustered as he described what he wanted custom made, but that too vanished in time as he and Nenevia had gotten to know each other. Seeing him flustered thus was unsettling, to say the least.
They waited, breath held as they watched the two powers in front of them stare each other down.
Finally, the mage let out a soft chuckle.
“So, Sterling, it seems I’ve misjudged you, yet again.” The witch purrs, and Nenevia feels an urgent need to vanish into the back room. They didn’t usually mind watching customers test out equipment (in all honesty, they got a little bit of a thrill watching), But this seemed less a test drive and more an all out battle of wills. Or of other things. Slowly, they began to creep towards the back, fearful that they’d get caught up in whatever power struggle was going on here.
“Tell me-”The witch gently pressed the riding crop against Sterling’s chest, “Do you need help finding entertainment? Because I have this little black book that I think you’d just love.”
With that, Nenevia ducked into the storage room, eager to avoid hearing any of that conversation completely.

Me: why
“Where the hell is Hook?”
no but Emma does not CARE about Hook, she does not WORRY, she does not MISS him, she does not get scared when he’s in danger, she does not wilt with relief when he’s okay
and Hook is IRRELEVANT to the plot, he does not make plans, he does not contribute in any way, he does not restore happy endings to villains so they’ll stop being villains and trying to hurt the heroes, oh and no one ever calls him Killian
no one cares about Hook he does not matter shut uu-huuuu-huuuupppppppp
