Is being introverted not a common thing, among Neurotypicals ? Because, i swear to god, everyone i talked about my social difficulties and my aversion for noise was decided to “get me out of my shell” and to “make me extroverted”.
I didn’t told them that i was autistic, because it’s at my workplace and i can’t take the risk for the moment, but even then... Don’t they know any socially awkward person ? Don’t they respect their boundaries ? The worst one was probably this old lady, who decided to make weird and obnoxious noises (like slamming her tongue against her palate) when i was near her. And then, she laughed and mocked me, claiming loudly : “Eeeew, noise !”.
Apparently, some of my friends, who are socially awkward, told me that they get the same treatment from extroverted people. The same “you should get out more” and “you should have more friends” and stuff like that...
NTs always tell us that we lack empathy. But they don’t display any towards me, other autistic people or even just introverted people, apparently...
