CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW ADORABLY CUTE ALEX LAWTHER IS
#AdventureApril Day 4 - Creature You Gotta Battle
Don’t be fooled: it may be small, but it packs a punch.
I saw the twitter picture of Ignis smiling, Noct did too.
Debate
There has been a lot of debate in my head. I recently saw somebody refer to themselves as “awkwardly cute” or something among those words. At first, my reaction was more or less: “Why are you doing this? You can’t compliment yourse--”, and then it hit me. There’s nothing wrong with giving a compliment to yourself. “Damn, I look good today!”, “Look at that hair we’ve got”, “I’ve got pretty good eyes”. I’ve fallen into a trap set by society in which you’re supposed to underestimate yourself, in hopes that society will tell you you are... something (beautiful, cute, talented, or whatever), when in fact you’re just keeping a healthy self-esteem.
However, I am still not quite sure that’s what it means. If it is just keeping a healthy self-esteem, well, cool, but I don’t know, the phrasing is just weird. What does “awkwardly cute” even mean? You’re using a neg against yourself. To me it has a sense of superiority subtext, but that might just be because I know them in person. They’re actually cute. Like, in the real, physical way. So by using this sort of “modern” vocabulary, they’re just trying to say what, well, all of us notice without actually saying it because it would sound a bit pretentious about their obvious beauty?
Yep, I definitely belong in Tumblr. I can’t post such an overblown outrage over two words in a fucking description anywhere else on the Internet.
Day 97: Clumsy birdies
The one on the left is the Mother. She's got three kids, and they are super funny because of their clumsiness! In that way, we are alike :D But I loooved watching them following their mother, trying to flap their wings, and just being awkward ^_^
Ringo, you derp... Teehee
