[taps my notecards] ceriel. ceroba and toriel. first off, yay yippee wahoo old women yuri. second off, oh my god the parallels and how it drives them to different but oh so similar extremes? ceroba lost her daughter and her husband and toriel lost her two children and her husband and ceroba loves both of them immensely and her daughter is lost BECAUSE OF HER (in ways, to war) while toriel does not lose her children by her own fault (to sickness, then to war) BUT she loses her husband of her own fault (to war) while ceroba does not lose her husband of her own fault (to sickness) and they become such interestingly contrasting people because of it - toriel isolates herself and hates her husband as opposed to ceroba who loves her husband and monsterkind to the lengths to kill a child; the very thing toriel left her husband for. but ceroba does not kill clover (in faulty? pacifist, it is in fact toriel’s husband who strikes down clover). toriel attacks (and can kill) a child who she swore to protect in the name of protecting them. and do you know why, dear reader of this rambling post, ceroba attacks clover? in the name of freeing monsterkind and in the name of her daughter, lost to the pursuit of freedom. im shaking my hands and gesturing vaguely while incoherently rambling beneath my breath i know but the conspiracy board makes vague semblances of sense so you might as well listen. they are parallels but there is just such an inherent disconnect and i think they should get to be yuri and compromise in the middle. staring into eachothers eyes saying “i can fix her” only to be confronted by their own flawed senses of what right and wrong are. do you get me or do i sound insane
