Just thinking of El trying to sacrifice herself and standing in the gate when Will runs in after her and grabs her hands, yelling over the chaos that she doesn't have to do this and El says she does and tells Will to leave before the ud collapses and Will refuses to leave without her and insists that there is a happy end for the both of them.
And theyre holding hands while the wind and debris fly around them, just- looking at each other. Two kids who have been hurt their whole lives, both desperate to be free and happy, both kind despite it all.
