Took a trip to the zoo yesterday for a little double date. We have gone to the zoo before when we first moved here around this time last year but I forgot to post the pictures. Luckily this time I won’t forget.
I also brought home some things but I’ll have to make a separate post.

Paleolithic hand-axes, found in the terrace gravels of the River Medway (Aylesford, Kent, England), possibly over 100,000 years old:
Acheulean culture ovate hand-axe, 12.2 x 7.6 cm.
Pointed flint hand-axe, 14.9 x 8.3 cm.
Rough-out for a flint hand-axe, 14.5 x 8.4 cm.
Axe that has lost its tip, 8.5 x 7.5 cm.
