Seeking Help
| @aymeric-the-blue |
Bee had made up her mind. She would try and talk with Ser Aymeric. She had known that he was looking into a solution for Zephirin, but her husband had found a solution through other means. She had never personally met the man before and, if truth be told, she was terrified. Ser Aymeric had a very imposing presence. Even seeing him from afar, she could feel it.
Committing to her plan, she threw together some warmer clothes and a bit of food. It’s such a cold journey to Ishgard and it didn’t get any warmer once there. Slinging the pack over her shoulder, she headed outside towards the stables. She quickly saddled her chocobo and climbed up. Leaning closer, she stroked the side of his neck and whispered, “I’m sorry boy. I know I’m heavier than you’re used to, but hopefully we’re heading to fix that.”
Coerthas. The snows were already falling. She thought of the stories Zephirin had told her of what Coerthas used to look like. How green it was. She wished she could have seen it like that. She wished many things, but for now, the problem at hand. She pulled her coat tighter and urged her chocobo to go faster. She had a feeling he didn’t want to be out here any more than she did.
It was strange. The people in the city seemed friendlier than the last time she was here. Of course, she knew it was because she was not the same, but it still felt good. She made her way through the city and soon arrived at the Congregation. There he was. Ser Aymeric.
Taking a deep breath, she approached, “Excuse me, Ser? We’ve never actually met, but you know my husband, Zephirin.” Another deep breath, “He had told me that you were helping him look for a solution to his… Predicament. He found something that worked, but… Like a fool, I dosed myself with it too.”
She knew this was a lot to take in from a stranger, but she hoped that he would be open to at least hearing her out. “So, did you? Did you find a way to help my husband? Maybe it could help me instead.”
