Tango Terakhir [ The Last Tango ]
Aga'aga the Protector ( Guards of Castle WiuWieWoo )
The biggest land-crab you ever saw! The Giant Coconut Crab is weird. Mainly because it's so big - with a body which is often more than a foot long and a leg span of 3 feet; it is actually the largest land-living arthropod known to man. It lives on Guam, Niue and other pacific islands, and got its name from the fact that it eats coconuts. The way it does this, is that it first tears off the husk (the soft outer shell of the coconut) with it's pincers; then it cracks a hole in the nut. Some of these crabs are large enough to break the nutshell into smaller pieces with their claws. That's a powerful crab! They eat things other than coconuts though - like meat. They have been seen eating rats and other animals. -found at Ayoke Island, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur | via Richmond Seladores
