ayreontober day 31: arjen
and that concludes ayreontober :0 i did it though! i finished an entire art challenge, who knew it was possible :0 anyway have some good vibes wholesome metalhead chibi arjen :) i went over it digitally which i like better honestly! might make a cool sticker too idk
huge thank you to everybody who's interacted with and hyped up my art during this challenge, the support means a lot to me <3 also shoutout to all the other ayreon artists on insta and tumblr - i have probably yoinked inspiration from all of you, whether it be character design, aus, or worldbuilding hehe. and ofc very grateful for arjen himself and all the instrumentalists, vocalists, and producers involved in ayreon - ayreon means a lot to me and has certainly carried me through some Times and has helped me acknowledge my humanity in a unique way <3
ayreontober days 5-6: favorite album!!
guys this this is my magnum opus. my meaning of life (to give life meaning). nothing i do will ever be this cool again. the peak of my art career was me drawing this in early may while listening to the sixth extinction on loop for an hour instead of going to senior prom lmao
this is from the end of the sixth extinction - "make us whole, migrator soul". here the migrator is depicted as the bridge between earth (top) and planet Y (bottom), breathing life into the forevers. there's so much i could say about this song and this line but suffice it to say it's incredibly compelling and fills me with emotions (i remember)
fr though i am really proud of this :') i originally had a silly source doodle queued for this prompt and then decided. you know what. what if i went all out with a 01011001 piece. (source and 01 being tied for my favorite for reasons lmao but as of two weeks ago i now own 01 on vinyl lesgoo)
