Headcanon:
Azalea
Azalea formerly belonged to an elderly woman, acting as a caretaker for the woman. She would take care of tasks for her around the house, such as cleaning, fetching items, etc. Azalea also went out and about with her, since the woman was slowly beginning to lose her sight with her age. She would communicate with her telepathically, relaying what she wanted to say to others telepathically when she was too weak to talk. She was also highly sensitive of the woman’s emotions, acting quickly to soothe her if needed. She was a guide/therapy pokemon in a way, though Azalea could easily act quickly to thwart any threats to the woman and her health.
She lived in a small home in Laverre, and when her health began declining for the worst and ultimately lead to her death, family members were able to come in and properly let Azalea back into the wild. She was saddened to leave the woman’s side, naturally, after spending so much time with her. Azalea had wandered and wandered, until coming across Amaryllis by chance. Sensing the sadness and turmoil within her, Azalea knew she had the chance to help another person, just as she had the woman.
She dislikes sweet flavors, but enjoys dry.
While Azalea does have the psychic capabilities to see into the future, she chooses not to.
She was able to sense the woman’s oncoming death, however, since it was due to age and declining health, there was unfortunately nothing she could do to stop it.
Azalea enjoys looking at anything shiny, and loves jewelry.
She enjoys anything that challenges her mind and her knowledge. Azalea, before her previous trainer’s health declined, would often play chess or checkers with her, along with completing logic puzzles.
While she hasn’t been with Amaryllis for long, she can tell she has a kind heart despite the other emotions swirling within her.
