It was fifteen minutes, twenty-seven seconds and counting since Shiba had returned to the Kamunabi’s headquarters, bloodied and in chains. Rakuzaichi’s downfall ended with Chihiro and his partner in the wind, and Shiba being captured while stalling Kamunabi agents for time. Hearing that alone made Azami smile. What a ridiculous excuse. Even more laughable was Kamunabi agents of all people believed it.
Or—getting captured was just another game for Shiba and Azami.
