no this isn’t overwhelming it’s EXCITING i feel like a dog being patted really fast it’s good

i have One other gem who i don’t have any art of anymore ‘cause it got lost when i had to reset my computer, but her name was esperite and her weapon was a bunch of glowy hands and she was designed to assist in fusion? i guess? she was a musician. it doesn’t really make sense with what we know about homeworld now, but i’ve been meaning to rework her and have her mess around with heliodor (they would Not get along).

my main gang of OCs switches depending on what i’m most interested in at the time, although some are more fleshed out than others! right now i’m locked in to my king arthur thing where the main Squad is Maya, an fbi agent and ace sniper (in... multiple ways lol), Henrietta, a cryptozoologist who is basically mulder from xfiles if he were a really bubbly short girl, and Alex, a smelly hobo dude who lives in a junkyard with his blind cat and is also king arthur.

before i got locked into that one again i was thinking about a group that i can only describe as ‘lesbian cryptid roadtrip’ where Jackie, that jackalope humanization i drew, her gf Regina (a flatwoods monster), and Yuki (a... tentative name) who is a Yuki-Onna drive around the US and have wacky adventures. also there’s a really insecure siren who’s a weeaboo and she has a spider-girl friend and they chat online!

and then. oh god. there’s so many loose characters floating around. there’s King, the casino demon, Teratoma (i still haven’t given him a person name) and Lorna the immortal siblings, the whole Psych Squad which is actually decently fleshed out (a bunch of super powered kids playing gang and it gets Bad) then some older ones like Casey, a scientist who gets infected by an eldritch abomination and turns into Dr. Vaccine and his weird group, his sister, and his psychic werewolf single father BF?? Keeta, a shapeshifting scraggly dude who got exiled from his kingdom because he’s an Asshole, then there’s some ocs that i sorta stole from my mom? like she made the designs and i started assigning personalities to them and Oh No. i had a devil girl who made possessed knitwear?? there are even more than this all at varying levels of fleshed out but this is long enough already so these are all the ones i can remember right now. What were the first OCs you've made and what did you make them for?

oooooo boy ok, so my first OCs… torn between whether or not it was the neopets i used in (technically) fanfiction i wrote when i was like, 7, or my Warrior Cat ripoff OCs. I’m gonna go with the Warrior ripoffs since those OCs actually survived to present day. 

So, yeah, here’s the thing: i had a shitty childhood. Some bad stuff went down so i don’t really remember much from the ages 7-14. What I DO remember is not having any friends and spending my lunch periods wandering this sorta small forest area at our school, desperately trying to fade into the background and entertaining myself with this story to pass the time. God, I did that from grade 4 all the way to grade 7. 

Anyways, the story? A wolf-dog-hybrid-thing named Lucky was the main character (aka me) and is name is freakin’ ironic because he is literally the most unlucky character you could ever meet. Anyways, he was renamed Wolf later and honestly I can’t change that now because it’s been too long. *shrugs* He was born in this secret lab in the backwoods, escaped with his mom while loosing the rest of his family in the process, then his mom gets shot by a hunter, and finally, lost and starving and alone, he gets hit by a car and taken in by a clan of forest animals. 

This shit all goes down in like, one chapter. 

In the original version, it was less of a clan and more of a random assemble of animals, including dogs, foxes, sparrows, and idk, a few more. It was supposed to be that when winter rolled around he bravely struck out on his own because the forest didn’t have enough resources to feed him and the rest of his friends; ya know, he was noble like that. 

Than I got into Warriors and the story changed. Now there really IS a clan, mostly made up of cats and a few dogs (and incidentally, the cats were like, super racist towards dogs). Anyways, Wolf had his best friend, a tabby cat named Firestripe (or just Fire; he WAS originally named Toby), his other friend, a grey Persian named Shadowfur (who is Fire’s later mate), another friend named Echostep, a nervous little whippet, and finally, Pearl, who’s a pitbull, i think (and Wolf’s love interest). Yes I know all their names suck, please don’t remind me. 

Long story short, it really IS a Warriors ripoff. Echo witnessed the murder of one of his clan-members by the paw of another clan-member named Jaggedstripe, hence Echo’s paranoid personality. Pearl was kinda the leader of their pack and they all got into a ton of shit because they were small little warriors trying to prove themselves. At one point they all sneak out in the middle of the night and swear a blood oath to be friends forever. 

Then shit goes DOWN. Echo reaches his breaking point (for reasons I can’t remember) and runs away to join another clan - Windclan, which is mocked by the other clans for being small, being made up entirely of street dogs, and having a lax code of letting anyone join, even if they don’t have warrior blood. Funny enough, Windclan was the kindest, most peaceful clan and accepted Echo with open arms. I think later Echo becomes leader, I can’t remember. 

Tensions spread through the group after Echo left. Wolf and Pearl are trying to sort out their feelings, and finally they have this huge fight. They both storm off, and later, as Wolf is wandering through the woods he hears her howling and goes a running to her, to find her mostly dead in the middle of the forest. Her last action was pushing him away from her before he can get his neck snapped by her attacker, who (surprise surprise) is Jaggedstripe. I think he killed her because she had always been Echo’s confident and had figured out the truth and was prepared to come forward despite how respected Jaggedstripe was. Either way, Jaggedstripe couldn’t have witnesses, and was going to kill Wolf too, but since he was pushed out of the way of the direct attack he manages to survive (although Wolf was in shock and didn’t really fight back). The amount of noise attracted other clan members tho. 

Jaggedstripe turns around and blames Wolf for killing Pearl, and i mean, he’s covered in her blood and if Jaggedstripe says he witnessed him attacking her… well, he doesn’t have much defense. Shadow doesn’t believe it but is shut down quickly by the clan, and Fire completely turns his back on his friend, unwilling to defend Wolf, somehow believing he’d actually murder Pearl? 

Despite not believing he was a murderer, the healer (a older female cat whose name I don’t remember) marks him as an outcast and he is exiled just as winter is beginning. This is a good time to mention that Wolf suffers through future dreams, the ability to see ghosts, and to read the truth if he looks into someone’s eyes, which is also combined with the scandal that his parents were actually originally warriors from different clans that ran away together before being sent to the lab. 

Anyways, Wolf doesn’t do so well on his own. He tries to join Windclan but his mark makes them turn him away. Finally, mostly starved to death, he meets a husky-mix named Friska (after the pop, sighs why me) who is chained and left outside by her abusive owner. They strike up a friendship, and finally Wolf helps her escape, and they get into their own wacky adventures while trying to survive the harsh Canadian winter. Oh, and there may have been a self-insert girl that could speak to animals and made friends with the two stray dogs, but I’m gonna ignore her lmao. 

Finally spring rolls around and Wolf returns to his clan to clear his name (I don’t think I ever came up with a way that he did, but whatever). He does, Jaggedstripe is banished, Friska and Wolf become mates, Fire apologizes, blah blah blah. I’ve glossed over this whole story and I don’t really care because it’s stupid. 

I mean, there’s the leader of Wolf’s clan (Fireclan) named Raggedstar, who turns out to be Jaggedstripe’s father. Wolf later meets his father’s brother who is a warrior of another clan. His sister suddenly shows up one day (having escaped the lab somehow, idk man) with her own pup from an unknown father. There’s Sparrow, who was Jaggedstripe’s mate who was treated like shit by him, and later she gets together with another cat (I can never remember his name; originally it was Stubbytail but I changed that but I can NEVER REMEMBER), and anyways, they have a single kit together named Blue and honestly they are adorable. Also, Fire and Shadow have three kits; Littlecloud, Patchfur, and Wildfire. Wolf and Friska end up having like four pups, i think, but I can’t remember any of their names off the top of my head. (although side-note, i planned on having one of the pups fall in love with Wildfire BECAUSE WHO THE HECK CARES ABOUT INTERSPECIES RELATIONSHIPS HAH). 

The sequel is patchy, but basically Jaggedstripe was pissed, drummed up a following, kidnapped Wolf’s pups and convinced him they were dead, and also at this point Raggedstar was dead so Wolf was also leader, so the responsibility to protect the clan was on his shoulders even as he was convinced his children were dead. So yeah, he starts to go a bit nuts. Fire sorta has to take control as he cracks more and more, and finally they go into finally battle against Jaggedstripe. Wolf thinks he sees Friska fall, and driven mad with grief, he attacks Jaggedstripe until both of them die. 

Oh, but it doesn’t end there; Wolf is faced with getting to go with Heaven or getting to return to his life, but he doesn’t WANT to return to life. He’s tired, and so many of his loved ones are dead (although Friska and his pups are actually alive!) so he opts to die, except Jaggedstripe, with one last action to fuck Wolf up, knocks him from the “heavenly staircase” and forces Wolf back to life and therefore condemning his own soul to hell. (man, was my childhood REALLY that traumatizing for me to come up with this shit?)  

So lots of angst; Wolf regains sanity upon seeing his living family, but constantly worries about how he was knocked from the staircase and how his connection to the “Starclan” has disappeared; a part of him believes that when he dies he will be forever be stuck in limbo in less he goes to hell instead. 

So yeah, again, glossing over, but that’s about it. Man, writing it all down makes it sound even stupider, that’s amazing. But hey, they were my first OCs, so i guess that’s expected, hah? ((I’ve actually done some recent sketches of all of them because they are still precious to me, i cry))
