It's got a rich salty flavour, kind of like ripe tomatoes. Except not, because nothing is like Vegemite. If you ever get to try it, only use a little bit. You'll regret it and never try it again otherwise.

VEGEMITE. It's like...very salty and beery, a little bit like a nut spread but not quite. Closer to almond butter than peanut butter, but still more salty/beery/yeasty. I haven't had it in 12 years, but I still remember what it tasted like.
I always get conflicting reports about this stuff. The only things that people agree on almost every time is it really stays with you as a taste, and for the love of all things holy and sacred do not eat more than a little bit or you'll hate it.
How did this become a major national food if you all hate it? XD
