Kiddies! :*

Sometime last year right before summer ‘16 aka, the best summer of my life, I took some photos of some kiddies who were about to graduate on Peters Street. 

As I finally get around to editing them, I hope that they enjoy and that it brings them some fond memories of their time in school.

Clueless

At the end of all great rainbows lies a plaid skirt blowing in the wind. I know so, because I have personally accosted all rainbows, ran very fast until I reached the end hoping for gold only to find lots and lots of plaid skirts. 

I’ve been thinking a lot lately while simultaneously trying not to think as much and it’s all left me kind of where I started: Clueless. af. Maybe not completely clueless but resigned to the same facts which are and will forever remain: there are no shortcuts in any sort of improvement, there is no room for crying in fight club, and your circle matters mostest in your progress. 

This skirt/air max/cropped notes tee combo helped me feel comfortable, but also encourages me to take myself more seriously and stop being so scared all the time. Again with the mismatching. New music coming soon. Also do you like my neon hair? I kind of hate it but love it. For more bits and pieces of my every day life, check out my Instagram.

Who is Azia.World/Lavenderskinz?

Last night, I went to a New Negress Film Society event, and this morning I ended up on Wikihow reading advice articles. If you don’t read Wikihow for advice you’re missing out on so many practical, step-by-step emotional instructions I just...

Azia.World is a culmination of all my creative projects and desire to tell stories. I’m an impulsive creative which means I want to do everything, everywhere, all the time. I can’t, but I can focus and take it a day at a time. That’s what Azia.World is about. Focusing and creating an environment that is for you and your biggest dreams. Whoever wants to watch is welcome, but guess what? I’m not for everyone and neither is u. 

When I started out making music, I was really comfortable with the name Lavenderskinz (lavvie for short). I briefly tried making music under my real name, Azia, but I don’t want to do that anymore. Azia and Lavvie are two different feelings, and to be honest, the Azia that I am in my day to day life is really reserved for me and my peoples. Making music under my real name still feels invasive, and maybe one day it won’t, but I really feel that Lavenderskinz is the right name to carry this electronic feeling/phase that I’m in right now. 

On Azia.World, I want to share video stories and segments, music, clothing I design, visual art, writing and drawings. I just want to create a world for myself and others who feel like me and I also want to share the immense amount of love I have to give.
