azikeos replied to your post: I’ve got two questions!! 1. How do your ferrets...
Cats don’t spite-pee either; some cats can be very territorially insecure so if you aren’t caring for them properly(not enough litter boxes, dirty boxes, not enough places to scent mark, not interacting w them properly), they can get very stressed out which results in not using the box as a way to claim their territory and reassure themselves that they do belong here and stuff. Also, medical issues
All of that is true, as far as I’m aware. I just meant that some cats pee on items for mental/emotional rather than physiological reasons, while ferrets don’t typically do that.

Death isn’t something that Joel fears. Ever since the very first day of the infection Joel has accepted the inevitability of death. Seeing the light leave his daughter’s eyes Joel knew there wasn’t much HOPE left in the godforsaken world. Surviving for 20 years still shocks him everyday but yet he still keeps going. That isn’t to say sometimes he wishes that sweet release from life won’t just grab him. Joel takes life as it comes but if death does ever come for him he’ll be ready. He won’t fear it and will greet it like an old friend.

MORE MEMORIES / NO LONGER ACCEPTING
🎈- A memory about a time they were safe and relaxed
Twas the times of old, many moons ago. Humanity had not yet basked in the scorn of the modern world. Aside from hunting and royal disputes, man was fairly peaceful.
People protected people.
Humans fought alongside one another against the trials of daemons. There was not rivalry or resentment betwixt man. Kings and queens ruled peacefully over their kingdoms and the townspeople admired them.
Ardyn Izunia; once a young man of fifteen, had been hailed a prince. The majestic son of a firm yet fair ruler. The boy was cherished by his family and even admired by the people surrounding the kingdom.
Times were less demanding in those days.
He’d train amidst the guards of the castle grounds without a care. The only maliciousness to plague the air surrounding them was bad weather. Alongside soldier and guard alike, he’d swing his sword.
Training consisted of repetition, mistakes then more mistakes. But always with a steady hand to guide, the criticism paved way to a better man. Ardyn had been bequeathed such attention by his royal guard and father.
For everything necessary to be trained in; the boy had struggled to grasp the javelin. Such a majestic tool of the dragoons, it was a difficult craft to revel in. Where Ardyn required athleticism he had coined none. The subject of his failure had been a talking point for his teachers and family alike. A minor-issue, they'd made jokes and teased the boy as one would a close friend.
Ardyn had sat content, the hot sun baking his back as he rested alongside guardians, soldiers, maids and royalty alike and he'd thought to himself 'this isn't too bad'.
A future king, training in the art of professionalism and warfare amidst the men of his kingdom sounded terrible on the outside, but truthfully it couldn't have been further from the truth for the times he spent alongside 'friends' and 'guardians' alike in the training grounds were some of his best days.
Valor and loyalty had been prominent in those times. Enough so to awash the teen with a blanket of safety and a peacefulness never grasped again afterward.
As a boy, he’d truly been at peace with the world.
azikeos replied to your post: I love ferret-fighting etiquette so much. Like,...
Idk about ferrets, but in dogs, pausing mid fight/etc to scratch an itch is often how they say ‘whoa! break time, getting a little overwhelmed here’ so they can “shake it off” a little and come back to the fun
I think that’s sometimes the case with ferrets too, but ferrets are also just extremely itchy animals, and just about anything they do will usually be interrupted by scratching themselves at some point. ^_^
