Several hours had passed since Jade was supposed to meet DJ for their date. There was no word from her as to why she was running late. A few more minutes passed before an unknown number called his phone.

The night before had been a lot to process. Stan dropping the truth bomb on him hadn't been what he'd expected. That Eavesdropper had been right was the first shocking thing to hear. And when the shock of that fact had worn off, the reality that Stan had not only stepped out on Wendy, but done so with Bebe? Fuck. Kyle had almost deluded himself into thinking his friends were better than that. Even that fat fuck, for all his faults, Kyle wouldn't have expected him to cheat. Not that Cartman could find one girl, let alone two, willing to sleep with him...

He'd expected better of Stan. In hindsight, why? Kyle would have run out of fingers and toes if he counted on them how many times either of them threw each other under the bus, for some reason or another. Stan framing him for 9/11, Kyle completely abandoning him during his depression to hang out with Cartman... They'd turned on each other over a PS4 or an XBox for fucks sake. Cheating on his high school girlfriend was absolutely in the realm of possibility for Stan, just as it probably was in the realm of possibility for Kyle to do the same thing, had he been put in the same position.

Still. Kyle was better than that. If he knew he was capable, it was his duty to rise above it. He'd weighed the options of telling Wendy since he found out from those texts from Stan. Hed committed to it. Stan would have forgiven him. Except he didn't have to be the harbinger of betrayal. Randy and their parents had done the hard work for him. It had fucked Wendy up, rightfully so. To find out from their dads and not the people involved just another blow while she was already down.

He owed it to Wendy to tell him what he knew. Stan had given him most of the dirty details. Kyle pulled everything he could out of him, though Stan had been more than willing to give it up now that more people were finding out. Kyle had to give his friend props for not digging his heels into the stand and insisting he had nothing to do with this once people knew the truth. He couldn't say the same for Bebe, still insisting this was all gossip.

Barely skipping school, no one would care if Kyle missed a day. It seemed most people were bailing anyway. Wendy needed a pick me up and to know the full truth. Instead of taking the route to school, Kyle turned and drive the familiar drive to Wendy's, parking on the street outside of her house before pulling out his phone to send her a message.

Jade had been out on her nightly hunt, clearing out what should have been a relatively small demon hideout. As time went on, she realized she was vastly outnumbered.

She knew that she couldn't stay here and it would take too long for help to arrive. With no other choice, Jade chooses to escape to DJ's.

In her haste to get to safety, Jade ends up in the forest instead of closer to the house. She lets out a shrill shriek when she realizes some of the demons followed her before she begins sprinting toward the house."

Jade would arrive at DJ's house only a few minutes after letting him know she was on her way. She knocked lightly on the front door. She hadn't bothered to change out of her pajamas, which consisted of a tank top and a pair of shorts.
