Better Days Are Always Here! by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: I captured this image one morning at Bond Falls Scenic Site in Michigan with this showcasing the waterfall of the Middle Branch Ontonagon River. To enhance the silky appearance of the waters, I used an H&Y RevoRing MarkII to manipulate this capture for a long exposure. This setting extends to the south. I chose to work with Aurora HDR Pro to better bring that complete color setting in the image. I later exported a TIFF image to DxO PhotoLab 9 where I did some final adjustments with contrast, saturation and brightness for the final image.

Tall Mountainsides to Savor an Afternoon (Banff National Park) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A setting looking to the southeast while taking in views of mountainside along the Icefields Parkway. This is in Banff National Park at an unnamed overlook. I have been to this location several times before on my trips to Alberta and love the view of Mount Wilson and the highway. So my thought on composing this image was to let the mountainside fill most of the image, but include a portion of the road to bring out the grandeur of the setting.

A Frame of Hoodoos for a Look Beyond (Bryce Canyon National Park) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: While walking around and taking in sights at Paria View with a view looking to the southeast across hoodoos, grottos, and other eroded formations present in Bryce Canyon National Park. I also liked how the nearby formations and cliff edge created more of a look beyond to the portion of the national park below the escarpment and cliff wall that I was on.

It Isn't Hard to Imagine a Beautiful Place in Denali National Park & Preserve by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A view looking to the southeast while on the main park road not too long before coming to Polychrome Overlook in Denali National Park & Preserve. The setting I was attempting to capture with this image was the view across the rolling hillsides to the ridgeline and snowcapped peaks off in the distance and in the upper portion of the image. Once again, there was still quite a bit of haze from the recent wildfires mixed with the sunlight that afternoon. I did some initial post-processing work making adjustments to contrast, brightness and saturation while playing around as I learned how to work with DxO PhotoLab 3 and then used the ClearView tool to reduce some of the haze present.
