Azula had spent hours making sure she was looking her best for her next date with Kildare. Consulting many different websites and magazines, she put a lot of effort into her appearance so he wouldn’t regret agreeing to be her boyfriend. One of her handmade necklaces hangs elegantly around her neck, the various colors coordinating with her cream and gold colored dress. A gold and white purse rests on her shoulder; containing the wallet with some of the money Kildare had given her when they first met, her tiny flip phone, and some makeup in case she needed to fix herself up while they were out. The makeup she is wearing is mostly shades of yellows and oranges, with a hint of purple for contrast. She’d heard having a bit of contrast would help her look more appealing.
Stepping out of her house in her gold-colored shoes, Azula locks her door and begins to walk to the place she and Kildare agreed to meet. For most of the walk, things seem normal. Nothing is there to ruin her night!
Unfortunately, this calmness doesn’t last. A scarlet macaw slips out of an alleyway, wearing casual attire and sunglasses. He was nowhere near as tall as Kildare, but he was big and strong enough to completely overpower the smaller parrot.
The macaw wraps his arms around the woman, only squeezing tighter every time she struggles, like an anaconda strangling its prey.
“Let me go! I have a boyfriend!”
“That’s what they all say. Besides- your “boyfriend” isn’t here now, is he?“
The macaw just laughs, entertained by watching the other bird squirm.
Azula screeches, shrieks, and caws as loud as she can to grab someone’s attention- ANYONE’S attention. Her calls for help can be heard from several blocks away.
