Garrus didn’t think it was possible, but every time the Normandy docked at Omega he managed to hate the place more. The lower levels rife with the poor and sick, and just above them there were thugs, murderers and other such undesirables throwing their money at strippers that didn’t give a shit about them, and making deals that were sure to screw the lower class even more. Some days he was tempted to prove all the mercs wrong and come back as Archangel to lay waste to them all, but if he did that then who would watch out for the human next to him?
Said human was leading the way through the markets, having given everyone a few hours shore leave while he sifted through the junk for some part the engineers had asked him to look for. Garrus chose to follow Shepard on his shopping trip, after all he did know Omega best, so who could be better to make sure they didn’t get kicked off the station?
Speaking of which, Garrus eyed a batarian that had been following them since they docked, and he doubted the guy just wanted an autograph. “Shepard,” He tapped the man’s shoulder to get his attention, pretending to show him something on his omnitool as he leaned in close so no one could overhear. “There’s at Batarian at your 3'oclock. He’s been following us since we got here.”
Garrus shut down his omnitool, moving to the other side of Shepard to pick up a random part from the pile, making like he was showing it to him so the Commander could get a better look without tipping the batarian off. “Try to stay out of trouble if he comes over here, alright? I’m talking as minimal bloodshed as you can manage. Think you can handle that?”
