From what I found, Bluebird is a trade name for a mineral combination called cuprite-azurite. It is a rare mix of the two individual minerals despite both being copper carbonate minerals. Sometimes, Bluebird is mixed with malachite and white calcite if they’re growing in the same area. It may also be found with cuprite chrysocolla, another but more well known mineral combination. They are extremely rare and highly sought out for. Known deposits of Bluebird can be found in the following areas: Australia, China, France, Greece, Mexico, Namibia, Russia (Ural Mountains), Sardinia, and the United States. Since Bluebird has a hardness of 3.5 – 4, it’s best used for brooches, earrings, pendants, and sometimes rings.
There’s not much on the mineral metaphysically, but it does combine the energies of both individual minerals. Azurite promotes wisdom, increases psychic awareness, and dissipating negativity while soothing anger. As for cuprite, it helps willpower, security, sexuality, mortality, and confidence along with reducing anxieties of having no control one’s surroundings.
