One fun thing about the Steven Universe fandom is that whenever we get a new character or fusion, inevitably there’s atleast one person who’s like “GOD DAMN IT MY OC WAS A *insert gemstone name here* NOW I HAVE TO CHANGE HER DESIGN/NAME”. The fact that any of our OCs could be savagely destroyed by canon at any moment is the funniest shit to me.
You can pry our OCs from our cold, dead, hands.

In a world where Iolite and Zircon are both evil... what will become of the Crystal Gems?
**This is just an AU, Iolite is not evil, and Zircon... well, she’s still in the hands of the Diamonds. We’ll have to see what happens.**
Mahogany is the fusion of Zircon and Tourmaline. The two gems butt heads a lot, but they will fuse if necessary.
Mahogany is tough, has a very short temper, and is a little bitter about still being short despite being a fusion.
As long as you’re on their good side, they will protect you at all costs.
You’ve never seen a gem like her before!
Turritella Agate is spunky, upbeat, and loves a good brawl. Just be careful, because she’s not afraid to use her hooves!
Wonderstone is adventurous, as his name might suggest. He’s also emotional, and a loving, caring friend.
Occasionally he’ll disappear for a few days at a time, but he always comes back having made a new animal friend!

Amethyst is passionate, goofy, loves music, and loves being a crystal gem!
Spessartine is the fusion of Zircon and Amber.
She’s sneaky, she’s smart, and she loves pranks. However, you would never want to be on the receiving end of one of her “practical jokes”.
This is Jade - she is calm, cool, and collected.
You won’t know when you’ve made her angry... until you’ve already paid for it.

Say hello to another one of our favourite fusions: Azurite-Cuprite, a.k.a. Bluebird.
He is the fusion of Watermelon Tourmaline and Uraninite.
Bluebird doesn’t come into being often, but when he does, it’s always a treat. He is witty, charming, and extremely powerful.
Though overall, he’s more of a lover than a fighter.

They’re a fun gem, and they love a variety of human things, such as T.V. shows and books.
They love to laugh, and they always have great stories to share!
This is Hackmanite.
They are the fusion of Iolite and Uraninite.
Hackmanite is caring, protective, and often very goofy.
More than anything, Hackmanite loves being themselves, because the two gems that make them are already deeply in love.

Uraninite
He fled to earth from Homeworld, where he had originally been used as an energy source to help create gems. He felt his life was draining away, and so he escaped.
During his first couple years on earth, he was rather apathetic, he felt lost. Then, he met Iolite, leader of one of the Crystal Gem branches, and he started to feel again.
Once Uraninite settled in as a Crystal Gem with Iolite and her friends, he was able to be his true self: open, caring, funny, intelligent, and a huge teddy bear.

The gemstones in Uraninite’s staff are shards of his friends who had been shattered. He carries them in his staff so he can always keep close by. In battle, Uraninite can summon multiple abilities from the shards in his staff. For example, the blue gem is a piece of a Lapis Lazuli, and Uraninite can manipulate water (in limited amounts) using his staff.
