CONTROL. I'M HERE. | some azz and paul graphics that i couldn't figure out what to do with so here's all my ideas all at once
fever hits the fan | this is a (hopefully coherent) character ref sheet for azz
wandering through darkness | mini mood board - azz + music
Azz is something of an enthusiast when it comes to music and, despite this board, his taste is actually pretty vast -- he will literally listen to any genre of music, it just depends on what he's in the mood for. He uses a portable tape deck most of the time when he's out and about (mostly so that Rhys doesn't feel alone with his magic Walkman), but will sometimes opt for the neon green iPod Nano that Gray gave him while Azz was in AWO's hospital wing (to prevent him going completely bananas). The van is strictly CDs because it's an old van and the only options are FM radio or the CD player and Azz much prefers sticking one of his CDs in. His go-to favourites are: Rage Against The Machine, Vixen, Fall Out Boy, The Clash, Professor Green, Bastille, Lights, Enter Shikari, Recoil (huhuh**), Stormzy, Faith No More, VersaEmerge, Blur, and La Dispute. His favourites of the favourites are: RATM, Vixen, Stormzy, Blur, and Recoil. RATM is his all-time favourite band and is more likely to be blasting them in his van than anything else, but his favourite 'sing-along' band is probably Vixen (he and Gray have had karaoke/hairbrush moments in the van to Cryin' many, many, many times). Recoil is a favourite because of the 'old' Hammersmith Wilder wolf giving him a copy of subHuman when he was staying at the Sussex compound with his handler family when he was 17 and he often plays it to calm himself down. Stormzy he likes vibing to and Blur is a band that Gray introduced him to by accident via the iPod Nano and he's loved them ever since he'd clicked on Charmless Man. ** No, the irony of an Alan FC character of mine liking Alan's music is not lost on me, it's on purpose lmao
FACE THE UNKNOWN, a future with no throne | azz + the tower by knuckle puck
The second I heard this song, I immediately thought of Azz and had to make this little graphic set. It suits him during the months post-Cerberus and how he has to navigate his new life as a 'clean' werewolf on the straight and narrow (under the guidance of the Luna family) because of how tumultuous life is for him in that time given his PTSD from the ousting ceremony, his deep sense of loss now that he doesn't have his old constant of the pack (nor his role as Beta), and his complex feelings toward Paul (and having to come to terms with the fact that Paul used and abused him since he was seventeen). "Learn to let go just to regrow" is probably the most character-appropriate line aside from the title/in-graphic lines that I used.
leave it better than you found it | azz + worse for wear by durry
No special reasons for this, I just think that the song fits Azz's whole vibe. Lyrics on graphic: 'a little bit worse for wear, a little bit scared, a little underprepared, a little too self aware'
all my bringing you down | azz coffey picture ref sheet + mood board combo
I wanted to test out an idea I head to combine a reference sheet (picture edition) and a mood board, so I tested it out on Azz. first: general reference, basically a picture/minimal text tl;dr of his full character sheet (found here). second: Cerberus incident + immediate aftermath (his physical healing at AWO's hospital wing) in mood board form. third: the conflict between Azz wanting to get better (both physically and mentally) after everything he's been through and his mental health wavering/the development of his PTSD in mood board form. fourth: present day Azz, which is his struggling (but fairly stable, comparatively speaking) mental health and him using certain grounding techniques he's learned via AWO's therapy service (featuring Wally, his plush wolf) in mood board form.
